Yes, because just as human food is bad for cholesterol and blood pressure in humans, it can be harmful to dogs. It's also a bad habit and they will be more likely to beg when you have guests over. Instead, give them a healthy all natural dog treat from time to time. Dogs don't need scraps, but if you give them some, they will obviously want them more often! Break the habit now!
