Ask Away...: Bidding and Fashion are SO MUCH Fun Together

Bidding and Fashion are SO MUCH Fun Together

When you hear the word auction you probably think of something IN PERSON where everyone stands around and bids on items they want.  That's very accurate, but it's not ALWAYS in person.  That's why I love TophatterTophatter is an online auction site where real people sit behind avatars they make up and bid on items.  Just like a real auction the announcer gives 3 warnings before it's finally gone and while the item's up there, the seller gets a chance to describe it.  You can go into each auction category to see what time it will start and you can look ahead to see the different items that will be offered.  I really love the fact that you can set a text reminder before the item you like goes up.  You can do this after you set up your first alert, simply by pressing the alert me option on any other auction item.  It was a huge help when I got distracted while waiting and would do other things and then could come back to the computer when I knew my item would be up shortly.

The bidding process is a blast and feels so real.  There's even this guy...

Sir Wendell Wattington.  He's the main guy on their page and I think he's so cute!!!

Another entertaining aspect to Tophatter is that there's awesome backgrounds and settings for each auction location so it makes it feel a bit more real.  You can even chat with the people in the auction that are bidding against you.  It's really cool that some of the people are there so often they know each other by now.

Honestly, this whole process was super fun, entertaining, and addicting.  I really did get some great deals and when looking around I saw all kinds of clothing, craft supplies, jewelry, accessories, and trinkets.   There was a lot of unique but useful stuff as well. I have never even seen some of the stuff in stores or any other website! A lot of the jewelry items come from someone's jewelry shop or have been homemade by them! How cool is that!

I looked and looked for the perfect things to bid on and I found them and guess what! I won them both!! I was so excited!!

I was in love with this 10 Piece Multilayer Bracelet and I won it for $21 after shipping!!!  I am so excited because it's so elegant and I really had my eye on it for the entire day before it went up for bids!

I also won this Double Ring Bracelet for $19 after shipping! It's so perfect for me because I love layering dainty pieces and it's very dainty.  I already received it in the mail and I am so proud of myself for winning something I really love!

And guess what!! EACH of you will receive a $10 credit when you sign up for Tophatter and spend $11 on an auction.   Just sign up here where you can redeem your $10 credit.

  1. I have experienced Tophatter Auction site too, and it is fun and addictive. I won some very nice items. Unfortunately, there is a down-side to Tophatter that I experienced first hand. This site offers no recourse if something goes wrong. I had two sellers whom I paid right away but I NEVER received the items I won and purchased. It wasn't just a few dollars I lost either. Tophatter offered no help in making things right other than that I could leave negative feedback for the sellers which I did, but I don't think that results in any problems for the sellers. As much as I would love to go back to Tophatter, I won't. I was out $ and the items I had really looked forward to having.
