Our Laundry Room Makeover

Friday, April 1, 2016

Our laundry room is in the basement and it used to be a cold, dark, drab space.  So we decided to spruce it up.  There's a work bench on the other side of the room and James loves to work down there but I just felt like the room was still ugly and dark.  Really, it's the little things that transform spaces that are normally unattractive.  The laundry romo was always so blah and it sucked having to run downstairs to change the laundry over but now I don't mind it so much because I know I get to enjoy the cute little details.

James painted the walls white, the floor grey, and I decided to add a little shoe organizer from my closet that I no longer needed.  I bought a few cute decorative accents from TJ Maxx.   They fit perfect in the little cubby holes of the shoe organizer!
The faux flower and vase is so perfect for down there and it gives the entire room a linen filled laundry room feel. We have more changes to make in the next few months so I may have an even more updated pic for you soon!!
