Don't Complicate, Rehydrate

Water is the main thing that sustains us, that gives us life. Your body can survive for three weeks with no food, but only three days with no water. That’s a big difference, and shows just how crucial it is to you. Not enough of us are drinking the required amount each and every day - you have to follow the 8 x 8 rule (eight glasses of eight ounces of water) to get the sufficient hydration, but we are chugging on on the bare minimum required for us to function. But in a lifestyle where productivity is key and we are all so busy, how do we get water back into our routine?

Set an Appeal

You are more likely to drink if you have something nice to drink out of. We’re quite a vain breed, and anything that looks good or is on trend is definitely something that we want to invest in and be noticed with. There are so many sites that are offering practical and and stylish solutions to your water needs, such as https://trago.co/, where you can track how much water you’re consuming as well as showing off of the aesthetics of it all. We are so invested with how we look and how we are seen to be doing things, that it makes sense to purchase something that people can ask you about - and that you’re willing to talk about. Following trends is a big thing, but for something as simple as water it doesn’t have to be. All you need to do it make sure that you’re getting plenty of it rather than worrying about the example that you’re setting to everybody else.

Set a Target

If you think that eight glasses is too much, or even too little, you can set your own target. Be aware that you can have too much of a good thing, and over indulging in water can be harmful to your health. As long as you are drinking in moderation and not trying to overdo it, it will be fine and healthy for you. You are flushing out your body whilst doing it, so don’t worry if you need to get up to go and pee more often than you previously have done before - it’s a good sign that you’re getting the water that you need!

Set a Reminder

There are certain apps that will remind you to drink and give you a buzz every time that they think you are feeling thirsty. Otherwise, if you want to take it back to basics and not have to rely on technology to teach you how to drink, just try to keep reminding yourself. Leaving yourself notes or making a note of certain things to remind you to get a drink can help. If you’re working in an office environment, ask your colleagues if they can give you a reminder whenever they think about it, too. It might just encourage them to start drinking more as well.
