Why We're So In Love With Being In Love!

Love is all around us. It’s everywhere we look. It’s in every film, television program, and book. It can often feel as though there is no place for singledom in this world. But, we’re going to look at just why it's important. Of course, the obvious answer would be that love makes the world go around. We love because we have an inherent need to reproduce. But that seems like a cruel way to look at an emotional matter. There has to be more to it than that.

For proof, you only need to look at how far we go for love. From making sure we look our best, to joining matchmaking sites like the one mentioned on http://simonafusco.biz, we’re all on a mission to find the one .If there was nothing more to it than reproduction, would we go to such extremes? We’re one of few species who aim to mate for life. If reproduction was all that mattered, surely we would mate and then move on.

Instead, we look for the ever elusive ‘soul mate.' Someone to share our life with. Looks may play a larger part in our choices than we think, as shown in this article on https://www.psychologytoday.com. But, looks definitely aren’t the be all and end all. The most attractive partner may not be the one we pick. Instead, many of us look for personality over appearance. Just more proof that reproduction isn’t our only motivation. You could argue, then, that love is a matter of companionship. Why else would we want someone with similar tastes to our own? Of course, love isn’t the only way to companionship. We have friends and family, too. In truth, though, no one can make you feel less alone in the world than your romantic partner. Your family didn’t choose you, and your friends only go so far. Your partner is the family you make for yourself. They are where you go when you’re upset. They are the ones who hold you when you need it.

There’s no denying, too, that there is a lot of cultural credence on romance. We’ve already mentioned that love is in most forms of media. Most of the narratives we consume in our day to day lives center on love in one way or another. Songs discuss the emotion, too. Some cultures have no place for romance and rely on arranged marriages to form romantic bonds. We, however, have an obsession with it. If you’re single, you’ll be well aware how many times people ask when you plan to meet a partner. As well as being surrounded by love, we talk about it all the time, too! So, you could argue that culture has a lot to do with it.

In truth, the importance of love seems to come from many different factors. When you’re in the throes of a new relationship, though, does it matter? Whatever our reasons for being so in love with love, it’s a beautiful thing to focus on!
