As a woman, it's very difficult for me to feel as if I can trust anyone when it comes to getting my car serviced.  I don't know much about cars, so I have no choice but to believe what I am told, and in the past I have been lied to in order to make more money off of me.   Plus, it's hard for me to ensure I have good service done on my car the CORRECT way, if I don't even know what the correct way is or what to look for.

Well, the experts at Motor Oil Matters (MOM) are a new consumer education and industry watchdrog program from the American Petroleum Institute.  It's a nonprofit organization that highlights the benefits of quality licensed motor oils and calling out those who engage in deceptive practices.

AAA expects over eight million motorists will need aid this Summer!   This means breakdowns on the side of the road that need immediate assistance.  This can be prevented with the proper care and maintenance of your car, which includes an oil change!

If you make sure that their's quality motor oil in your vehicle, and that your car was properly serviced, you can cut your risk of car troubles down a lot!

I am in dire need of an oil change, so I finally am vowing to get it done.  This time I'm going to know what to look for and what to monitor, because I will bring along the MOM's Oil Change Checklist!

Stay tuned because next week I'll be letting you know how my experience went AND I'll give you the chance to win a $50 VISA Gift Card towards your next Oil Change!!!

In the meantime, learn more about Motor Oil Matters on their Facebook page and their Twitter
