The Fashionable Parisienne Thing

Sunday, June 22, 2014

Every single Nashville photographer, blogger, journalist and average person wants to visit Paris. It is the city of love, croissants and fashion.

You can always pick a Parisian woman out of a crowd. She is just different, because her city can be easily called the fashion capital of the world. Paris is where Haute Couture was invented. French people were the ones who started to do bring up the concept of high sewing/ high fashion. Also, it is extremely important to mention that the best designers of the world have the headquarters there. And I’m talking about Rochas, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Céline, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Chloe, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Hermès, Lanvin and the list goes on. So basically a woman that was born and raised in this city has that distinct fashionable air that makes her stand out of a crowd.

Mini scarfs, ballet flats, black laces, “tie me up” sandals, “le Garçon” blazers and Aviators, are all vital components of the French woman’s wardrobe. In Paris, they know how to deal with fashion and they know how to obtain tiny silhouettes without ignoring the croissants and the wine. Besides the fabulous choice of clothes, there is the attitude, which is absolutely unique. The easiness and the genuine nature of femininity are those qualities that make the clothes look so gorgeous on those women. Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Anne Parillaud, Juliette Binoche and Jeanne Moreau, were all born in Paris. When looking at these divas you understand that it’s not only about the clothes, it is about the way you behave and everything you do.

Paris is the city where in the area bordered by the Champs-Elysées, Avenue Montaigne and Avenue Marceau you can find the world’s top Haute Couture brands, starting with Dior and ending up with Yves Saint Laurent. And of course, the Paris fashion week is one of the best weeks this world meets, every single year.

For more than two centuries, this city rules the fashion world and its women are spreading their ‘Parisienne ‘ air all across the globe.
