Easy Recipes for Side Dishes in Your Barbecue Party This Summer

Meat, smoke, outdoor and fun! What do all of them refer to? A barbecue party to liven up your summer.

This is the ideal time during a year to host a barbecue party if you have a grand backyard. Or simply like me, I usually enjoy doing so in the park.

But before having that fun, I had experienced a lot of difficult times thinking about what to bring along with me. This is especially true for side dishes.

When you hear the call of summer, outdoor activities are what you need to refresh your life. And a barbecue party is the best thing you can simply afford.

An electric smoker will do the best to save your cooking time. No more worry about clean-up or overheating! The market now offers a variety of electric smokers with the latest technologies.

Now moving to the main ingredients, we all know that meat is an indispensable part of any barbecue party. The food list might be as diverse as your imagination can be.

However, as a stimulant to your appetite, you will need some side dishes. In fact, they are so important that you had better allocate time to think about them.

Top Recipes for Side Dishes

In spite of their importance, they are not too difficult. There are some easy recipes you can finish within minutes, but they will blow everyone’s mind and also their appetite.

Vegetable Side

Coleslaw or potato salad is common names you might notice in most buffet lineups. Nevertheless, they are so common that people may start getting bored with them.

If you use mayonnaise in these dishes, the result might be even worse as it becomes foul in hot weather.

Therefore, seeking some alternative recipes with these ingredients is a must. Why don’t you try this recipe of sesame lime coleslaw?

Green cabbage (Medium size)

Shredded carrots (2 cups)

Chopped cilantro (1 cup)

Toasted sesame seeds (Half a cup)

Fresh lime juice (A quarter of a cup)

Sesame oil (A quarter of a cup)

Rice wine vinegar (1 tablespoon)

Grated ginger (2 tablespoons)

How to do:

Start preheating the oven to about 350 degrees

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and then, pour oil and lime juice slowly into it

Place the mixture into the oven for approximately 5 minutes or right after you smell intrusive aroma

Salt should be added finally and so are sesame seeds

You can always adjust the flavor by adding more lime juice or oil after that. Remember that the mixture should not become dark brown after being placed in the oven.

Grilled Vegetable Skewers

If you are not interested in these types of salad, it is a great idea to start grilling vegetable skewers with your smoker or grill. It would be a fun experience to start your party as well.

They are colorful, which makes you more crave for foods. The outstanding benefit of this recipe is that utensils are unnecessary.

The ingredients to make skewers are various. You might pick anything you want, but normally, I often see the appearance of corn, cabbage, tomato, or mushrooms. They are healthy.

Desserts are the last part of your party, but they are usually underrated. Why do people keep skipping this part which I assume is the best and most inspiring?

But the fact is that they are often neglected. Perhaps people think they are not suitable for an outdoor experience. I will show you an easy way to have the best dessert when you are outdoor.

Blueberry tart seems to be a good start for your hot summer. It would make everyone in your party remember the taste of your barbecue party.

If you are afraid that your guests do not like the dessert, try Chocolate Cupcakes. Nothing can be wrong with this ingredient. Everyone loves it, and children love sweetness.
