<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">
<br />
When it comes to saving money, cutting back on expenses is such an important piece of that process. Today, I'm going to speak specifically about one expense that I know a lot of people have and probably don't budget for - books. The thing is I have a very very easy way to save money on books. And you can still enjoy books at no cost. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br />
Join a library! </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">The answer is so simple. Most people can become members of their local library but for some reason they don't. There are so many benefits of being a library member. Not only can you rent books for free in person, but you can actually get certain titles on your e-reader or Kindle. So if you're a hermit like me you really don't even have to leave the house at all if you don't want to. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Now of course I will still buy books if it's a reference book, self help book, or a book I absolutely love and read so often that I just want my own copy. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">But for the most part - books just take up valuable space in my home. They are a burden to pack when you're moving and they can be very heavy when boxed up. Not every book is a book you need to purchase. Another great thing about the library is that you can read the book first and see if it's worth reading again and purchasing. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I know, it can be so tempting to want to go book shopping. It's so fun looking through all the shelves and finding one to bring home. But there's other ways to get them for less money. Use book stores and thrift stores always have books. And there's something about a slightly aged book that gives it that special look and feel and smell. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">There are also <a href="https://littlefreelibrary.org/">little free libraries</a> around everyone's towns and you can look them up online and find the closest ones to you. Another great thing is that if you decide to purge your books, you can do book swamps, gift them to friends, or just donate them to a use book store or a library. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I know a lot of people complain about the price of a brand new book and then they come home with a stack of 5 new books that they only read once. Think outside the box a bit when it comes to reading and books. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">How do you save money on books? <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="content"><p>Are you already planning your vacations for 2024? If so, you may want to add some nature to the mix. Thanks to places like the <a href="https://twinpeakslodging.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Twin Peaks Lodge</a>,
you can access mountains, streams, and more. Whether you visit the
mountains, beach, rivers, or lakes, there are many reasons why you and
your family should spend more time in nature.</p><h2>Stay Active</h2><p>One of the advantages of being in nature is how <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/pa-health/index.htm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">active you can be</a>.
For example, if you take the family on a mountain vacation to Utah,
you'll have access to skiing, snowboarding, and fishing. Skiing is a
great way to test your balance and how well you can interact with the
snow. However, snowboarding is a better option for people who aren't
quite so good at skiing but enjoy snow activities. Of course, fishing is
a good way to teach your kids how to catch their food while
appreciating a different ecosystem.</p><h2>Enjoy Quality Air</h2><p>Imagine
the fresh air you would enjoy up in the mountains. The mountains have
some of the best air year-round, so you likely won't have to <a href="https://www.unep.org/news-and-stories/story/five-reasons-you-should-care-about-air-pollution" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">worry about pollution</a> while
you're enjoying yourself on a break. Just be aware that it can get cold
up in those mountains at night or at certain times of the year. Be
aware that you should wear layers, and you can enjoy that crisp and cool
mountain air anytime.</p><h2>Take Amazing Photos</h2><p>Being on a
family vacation means creating lasting memories. As you create these
memories, you want to be able to capture them with your photos and video
cameras. As you're creating these memories, why not have some of the
best scenic views around? Imagine all the likes and comments your family
would get on your Facebook pages and Instagram feed when you post views
of the stunning Utah mountains. Whether you're fishing on the streams,
hiking, or showing off your snowboard progress, you have an endless list
of opportunities to capture visually.</p><h2>Enjoy Animals</h2><p>When
enjoying nature any time of the year, you're bound to come across
various types of animals. Whether at the beach or fishing in your
stream, you'll encounter aquamarine life. In the mountains, you're
likely to see dear foxes birds, and maybe even a bear. It's a way for
the family to learn about the vast ecosystem in the United States. Your
children will have lots to talk about and may be excited to learn more
about these animals on their own, even after the vacation is over.</p><p>Don't
forget about the benefits of nature when it's time to book a vacation.
From mountains to lakes to deserts to beaches, nature has something to
offer everyone. As you book your 2024 excursions, you have several
reasons to add a mountain vacation to your list.</p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

(CDC) found that unemployed people were almost three times more
vulnerable to heart diseases than employed adults. Yet certain
professional occupations may put you at higher risk of heart disease
compared to others. Discover the top three riskiest jobs when it comes
to heart health.</span></span></span></p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">1. Any Desk Job</span></span></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">Desk jobs are relatively safe compared to those in construction and mining fields. According to a study reviewed by </span></span></span><a href="https://www.nicswell.co.uk/health-news/having-desk-job-doubles-risk-of-heart-attack"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: #0000ee;"><u>Nics Well</u></span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">,
extended sedentary pursuits double the risk of a heart attack. Even
among people who work out the recommended 30 minutes a day, working a
desk job still puts you at risk. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">A survey by </span></span></span><a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27434872/"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: #0000ee;"><u>University of Texas</u></span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">
researchers says that the threshold for sitting is 10 hours, after
which the cardiovascular risk for active individuals increases. If you
work a desk job, you can be proactive in protecting your heart health by
incorporating physical breaks during the day.</span></span></span></p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">#2: First Responders</span></span></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">The high occurrence of heart issues among law enforcers and firefighters is a common topic in research corridors. One report by </span></span></span><a href="https://www.lexipol.com/resources/blog/understanding-cardiac-risks-to-first-responders/#:~:text=The%20risk%20of%20a%20sudden,overexertion%2C%20heart%20attacks%20and%20strokes."><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: #0000ee;"><u>Lexipol</u></span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">
shows that while the average age for a first heart attack is 65 for the
general population, the average age for law enforcement is 46. First
responders work in high-stress situations and often have to over-exert
themselves.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">Responding
to high-stress situations causes the body to have a physiological
response that burdens the heart in the long term. First responders need
to go through regular monitoring, including cholesterol levels, to
protect themselves. </span></span></span><a href="https://drianweisberg.medium.com/"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: #0000ee;"><u>Dr. Ian Weisberg</u></span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">, a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, recommends regular physical activity for heart health, even for first responders.</span></span></span></p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">#3: Truck and Bus Drivers</span></span></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">Being
a truck driver can be quite an adventure for anyone who loves being on
the move. However, one has to sit for long hours and often faces
high-stress situations such as traffic congestion and tight delivery
schedules. Also, being on the road usually means poor dietary choices,
which can negatively impact heart health. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">Irregular
work hours deprive truck drivers of much-needed sleep. Truck drivers
can reduce their heart disease risk by incorporating physical activity
during breaks and layovers. They can also carry healthy packed food
during long journeys.</span></span></span></p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">Takeaway</span></span></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;">No
job is ever truly safe from danger, but some occupations make
professionals vulnerable to certain risks. The good part is that you
don't have to quit. Not when there's a plethora of strategies to
minimize your risk. For instance, anyone in any career will benefit from
consistent body movement. If you suspect you have symptoms of heart
disease, </span></span></span><a href="https://www.doximity.com/pub/ian-weisberg-md"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: #0000ee;"><u>Dr. Ian Weisberg</u></span></span></span></a><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;"><span style="color: black;"> can help. Consulting with a clinical cardiologist can help detect an issue before it escalates.</span></span></span></p>

is more than a physical transition; it is a journey of transformation
and growth. Whether you're moving across the country for a new job,
downsizing for retirement, or simply seeking a change of scenery, the
process can be a refreshing yet daunting prospect. An essential part of
relocation is research and planning—understanding the cost of living in
the new area, the nuances of the local real estate market, and, perhaps
most importantly, choosing reliable movers, specifically services akin
to Greensboro Movers, to ease the transition. To adapt smoothly to a new
environment, one must balance logistical preparation, such as hiring a

patronage, thorough research is indispensable in finding services
tailored to your requirements. Determine whether you necessitate a
complete packing and unpacking solution or solely transportation for
your possessions. Prioritize checking the qualifications, licenses, and
reviews of movers on your agenda. This step is paramount as it
guarantees confidence that your belongings are entrusted to reliable
hands. For instance, consider exploring </span><a href="https://www.americanvanlines.com/greensboro-movers/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">Greensboro Movers</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
for your relocation needs. Throughout the selection process, stay
vigilant for the red flags of moving scams, including unusually low
quotes or a lack of transparency. The Federal Trade Commission's guide
on moving fraud is a valuable resource to prevent being taken advantage
of during such a vulnerable time.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Organizing Your Belongings</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Moving
presents an opportunity to reassess material possessions, keeping what
is necessary or cherished and discarding what no longer serves a
purpose. This decluttering phase is not just for physical items; it can
also be a metaphoric shedding of unwanted habits and memories, allowing
for a clean slate at your new residence. Once you have decided what will
accompany you to your new home, consider environmentally-friendly
packing solutions, including sourcing recycled boxes or using household
items like towels and blankets to protect fragile goods. Your
organizational skills will shine through a carefully curated household
inventory—this checklist not only aids in tracking items but also
simplifies the unpacking process at your destination.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Budgeting for Your Move</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Moving is an art form where meticulous budgeting is paramount. </span><a href="https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/starting-new-job/relocation-cost" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">Relocation expenses</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
extend beyond the apparent costs of hiring movers or renting a truck;
they encompass packing supplies, insurance, potential storage costs, and
possibly even temporary accommodations. Setting aside a contingency
fund for unforeseen expenses, such as last-minute repairs or additional
moving supplies, is prudent. To economize, compare quotes from several
movers and consider timing your move during off-peak seasons when rates
may be lower. Additionally, plan garage sales or use online marketplaces
to sell items you don't wish to move, which can add padding to your
relocation budget.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Understanding Your New Locality</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Whether
you're excited about urban living or are leaning toward suburban
serenity, the fabric of your new surroundings will significantly impact
your lifestyle. Researching and understanding the backdrop of your new
area takes more than a few online searches—it requires a deep dive into
local community forums, school district ratings, and even future
development plans that could affect your neighborhood. It's also wise to
visit the new area, if possible, before the move, as a reconnaissance
trip can provide invaluable insights. You will start to adjust to the
area's pace, learn about the local amenities, and perhaps even initiate
some neighborly connections ahead of your move.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The Packing Process</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The </span><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/make-moving-less-miserable/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">packing process</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
is not a haphazard tossing of items into boxes; it is a strategic
operation that, when done correctly, can save you time and safeguard
your belongings. Labeling each box, not only with its contents but also
with the intended room in the new house, will streamline the unpacking
process. Consider taking out additional insurance or transporting those
treasured items to ensure safety. The decision between do-it-yourself
packing or hiring professional services should be weighed against the
value of your time, your comfort level with packing fragile items, and
the comparative costs. Ultimately, the peace of mind from knowing your
possessions are packed securely may justify the investment in
professional packing services.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Transporting Your Belongings</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Transporting
your belongings can take many shapes—from hiring a national moving
company to renting a truck or shipping items via freight. In considering
which option is most suitable for your situation, consider factors like
the distance of your move, the volume of items you're transporting, and
your comfort level with driving a large vehicle if considering the DIY
route. Whichever method you choose, ensure that your items are insured
and you clearly understand the mover's policies and delivery timelines.
Regarding international moves, additional complexities such as customs
clearance and international shipping regulations come into play,
necessitating even greater scrutiny and planning.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Settling into Your New Home</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
boxes have been delivered, and the movers have departed—the quiet that
envelops your new home is both exhilarating and, perhaps, a bit
overwhelming. Now begins the process of creating a familiar environment
in an unfamiliar space. Start with essential spaces, such as the bedroom
and kitchen, allowing for rest and nourishment amid the chaos of
unpacking. Use the layout of your new space creatively—don't feel
obligated to replicate the arrangement from your previous home. Instead,
experiment with new interior designs and flows that complement your new
living space.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Overcoming Relocation Challenges</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Moving
comes with its fair share of trials and tribulations. It's an upheaval
that can trigger stress, anxiety, and, on occasion, regret. To mitigate
these feelings, keep communication open with friends and family—they can
provide emotional support and practical advice. Additionally, immerse
yourself in your new community; join clubs, attend local events, and
volunteer. These acts help integrate you into the community and open
networking and friendship channels. Furthermore, it is essential to
provide yourself with grace during this period. Allow time for
adjustment, and don't pressure yourself to have everything "perfect"
immediately.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Making Your New Place Feel Like Home</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Ultimately,
moving aims to create a home, a sanctuary that reflects your
personality and meets your needs. It's in the personal touches that a
house transforms—a curated collection of books, a wall of family photos,
or a garden you've nurtured from bare soil. It's equally important to
reach out and weave yourself into the societal fabric of your new
locale. This might involve establishing family traditions incorporating
local customs or hosting gatherings inviting new neighbors into your
life. Integrating into your new world can be profoundly influenced by
your mindset; understanding the psychological aspects of relocation can
offer strategies for coping, adapting, and thriving in a new
environment.</span></p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

a bustling veterinary clinic in Houston, where each moment can be
pivotal: where pets receive lifesaving care and where pet owners find
solace in knowing that qualified professionals are at the helm during a
crisis. If your cherished pet falls victim to an unforeseen emergency,
discovering a facility that provides </span><a href="https://www.longenbaughvet.com/emergencies.pml" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">emergency care for dogs Houston TX</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">, could mean the difference between a close call and a tragically different outcome.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">While
pet emergencies are an undeniably frightening prospect, being versed in
the signals that necessitate urgent veterinary attention is a powerful
form of preparedness. Pets, limited in their ability to communicate
distress, rely on their owners to recognize signs of pain or illness.
It's up to the careful observer to discern these cues and act swiftly to
provide the necessary help. The sooner a pet receives competent care,
the better their chance of full recovery.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Identifying Signs of Pet Emergencies</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">One
of the foremost challenges as a pet owner is understanding when your
pet needs medical attention. Is your dog's sudden limp just a minor
strain, or could it be a sign of something more serious, like a fracture
or neurological issue? If your cat is experiencing bouts of coughing,
is it merely a hairball or a symptom of a life-threatening condition
like heartworm disease or asthma? Besides the more overt signs like
bleeding or seizures, pets may also exhibit less apparent symptoms such
as sudden aggression, excessive drooling, or a dramatic shift in eating
habits, all of which should prompt immediate concern. </span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">First Response: What to Do When Your Pet Needs Immediate Help</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Actions
within the initial few minutes can be critical when faced with a
potential pet emergency. Panic can impair judgment, so maintaining
composure is essential. Assess the situation: Is there a way to make the
environment safer for both you and your pet to prevent further harm?
For instance, if your pet has consumed a toxic substance, remove any
remaining portions of the substance from their reach. Offer comfort to
your pet, but be cautious, as pain may induce an otherwise gentle pet to
snap or bite. A well-stocked pet first-aid kit should be easily
accessible in your home, car, or anywhere you and your pet spend
significant time. Understanding these fundamental steps can profoundly
influence the outcome while you seek professional veterinary care.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Choosing an Appropriate Veterinary Emergency Service</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">When
time is of the essence, as it invariably is during an emergency,
knowing which veterinary clinic to turn to can save valuable minutes.
Prioritize finding a clinic with comprehensive capabilities to address
various emergencies, from traumas and injuries to sudden onset illnesses
like bloat or respiratory distress. A list of local emergency clinics
with operating hours is wise, as not all practices offer after-hours
services. Familiarizing yourself with the route to the emergency clinic
and keeping their contact information handy can ease the logistical
stress during a time-sensitive situation.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The Critical First Hour: Golden Period in Pet Emergency Care</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">This
crucial timeframe, sometimes termed "the golden hour," is when prompt
medical intervention can significantly impact a pet's recovery.
Veterinary professionals work swiftly to stabilize vital signs, manage
pain, and begin diagnostic tests to understand the root of the
emergency. During this time, every second counts, and receiving such
specialized treatment rapidly ensures that pets have the most
substantial likelihood of a positive outcome.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Common Pet Emergencies and Their Treatments</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Common
pet emergencies seen in clinics range from accidental ingestions of
toxins like chocolate or xylitol in sugar-free gum to </span><a href="https://news.google.com/articles/CBMiggFodHRwczovL3d3dy5jaXRpemVuLmNvLnphL3JhbmRmb250ZWluLWhlcmFsZC9uZXdzLWhlYWRsaW5lcy9sb2NhbC1uZXdzLzIwMjQvMDMvMTIvc2V2ZXJlbHktaW5qdXJlZC1kb2ctbmVlZHMtZmluYW5jaWFsLWFzc2lzdGFuY2Uv0gEA?hl=en-PH&gl=PH&ceid=PH%3Aen" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">severe injuries</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
from falls or animal attacks. Effective treatment of toxins may involve
inducing vomiting, administering activated charcoal, or providing
supportive care until the toxins are metabolized. For physical injuries
such as fractures or wounds, veterinarians may need to create splints or
perform surgery. In every case, the key to managing these emergencies
is quick action by the pet owner, followed by professional evaluation
and treatment.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Navigating Financial Considerations in Pet Emergencies</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">Despite
being a less pleasant topic to consider, the financial aspect of pet
emergency care is a reality that must be addressed. Emergencies can
incur significant costs, so it is advisable for pet owners to
investigate pet insurance options or to set aside savings specifically
for such occasions. Some veterinary clinics may offer payment plans to
help manage the immediate financial burden of emergency treatment.
Whatever the chosen strategy, planning for the economic implications of
pet emergencies is a practical step all pet owners should contemplate.</span></p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

<br />
Ever since 2020, I've been able to work my full time job from home. It's amazing and I've been thriving but they aren't kidding when they say burnout can still happen even if you get to work from home. For me it was because I stopped taking days off because I figured, why bother? If I can be home anyways, I shouldn't need to take time off just to get a break from work, right? WRONG! Once I was towards the end of 2021 I realized I was burnt out. And I knew exactly why. I was no longer taking days off like I used to when we worked in the office. </span><br /><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">So I decided to make a major change. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">See, I've been at my current job for almost 20 years so I have no problem accruing time off. So I made it a point to go through my calendar for the year and select 2 days to take off each month. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Now how do I choose these days? </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Well... sometimes it's obvious because it will be before a 3 day weekend (Holiday on Monday) or my birthday, but other times I just pick random days. I also do things like plan a day off around a pet's birthday or even the anniversary of our house. If I don't do these things I'll simply refuse to take time off because I have no justification. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">How do I spend my days off? </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">That's the other thing...sometimes we feel we HAVE to do something on a day off. That's not true. If I just want to sit around and do nothing, I'm allowed to. I just don't have to worry about being tethered to my computer. On the other hand, there are days off where I get tons of stuff done like errands and house projects. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">So why do I choose Fridays? </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Well, there are a few reasons. Fridays are usually slower at work because people are beginning to think of the weekend. So I can come back to work on Monday and not have tons of emails and urgent things to have to rush to take care of. Also, Mondays are super productive work days for me and if I take a Monday off it throws me off for the week. So Fridays are a great middle ground for me. I can get all my stuff done early for the week and enjoy the day off without worrying how much I'm coming back to next week. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">If you don't take days off like you used to, and you have the time accrued, I highly suggest trying this. The other fun thing is I basically end up taking off every other Friday and so I have two short weeks and 2 long weekends every month. And no, it shouldn't be a problem taking those days off repeatedly. Your vacation time is yours. I don't use mine to go on trips because I'm a homebody so I just spread it out throughout the year. </span></div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">What have you done to prevent work from home burnout? </span><br />

rooms are an enthralling blend of storytelling, puzzle-solving, and
team-building exercises rolled into one intense experience. Stepping
into the dark corners of a mystery-laden </span><a href="https://alcatrazescapegames.com/pages/draper" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">escape rooms Draper</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">,
you and your team are about to embark on an unparalleled adventure. The
key to conquering these physical and mental challenges lies not in
individual prowess, but in the power of a collective, where each
person’s strengths, weaknesses, and ideas play a crucial role in paving
the way to success.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Building Effective Teams</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
composition of your team is the bedrock upon which your escape room
experience is built. A harmonious blend of individuals, each bringing
unique perspectives and skills, can greatly augment your collective
problem-solving abilities. An effective team in an escape room is
similar to a well-orchestrated orchestra, where each member plays a
part, creating a symphony that resonates with victory. Whether it’s the
analytical thinker, the creative mind, or the peacemaker, understanding
your team's strengths and ensuring diversity is key to traversing the
tricky labyrinth of escape room challenges.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Developing Strategies for Success</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">A
solid strategy serves as a guiding light within the dimly lit chambers
of an escape room. Before entering, discuss your approach as a team,
assigning roles based on each member’s strengths and formulating a
tentative plan of action. However, the essence of escape rooms lies in
their unpredictability, requiring teams to remain nimble and adapt their
strategies as they progress. The unforeseen twists and enigmatic
puzzles might demand an impromptu role change or a radical approach
shift. The agility to pivot and the resilience to keep going, even when
faced with insurmountable odds, ultimately leads to triumph.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The Key Role of Communication</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Effective
communication is the pillar that upholds your team's chance for success
in the whirlwind of escape room trials. It’s a whirlpool of information
where every clue and key discovered must be communicated with precision
and clarity. The team should vocalize and consider snippets of shared
insight or a sudden revelation by a single member, ensuring no stone is
left unturned. A successful escape is a symphony of voices where every
whisper could be the one that leads to freedom.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Finding Creative Solutions</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
challenge of an escape room often lies in its ability to push
boundaries and make participants think in unprecedented ways. Creativity
is not just an asset but a necessity, as conventional logic may only
sometimes yield answers to the </span><a href="https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg26034691-400-15-mind-bending-scientific-riddles-to-enjoy-solving-with-your-family/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">cryptic riddles</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
between you and victory. Thinking outside the box, or in this case, the
room encourages you to utilize creativity that often lies dormant
within. It’s about seeing what is in front of you and what could be,
exploring all avenues, and piecing together a solution that is as out of
the ordinary as the enigma presented.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Embracing Failure as a Stepping Stone</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Only
some keys fit, some codes are correct, and only some strategies lead to
success. Failure is an inherent aspect of the escape room experience, a
harsh but fair teacher who demands attention. Every failed attempt is a
lesson, a clear indicator of what doesn't work, pushing you to find
what does. The resilience to overcome these moments of defeat, the
strength to regroup and reassess in the face of adversity, is what
forges a team’s character and cohesion. The inevitable failures are
simply stepping stones, critical in the learning curve that ultimately
shapes your path to success.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Enjoying the Journey</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Beyond
the puzzles and ticking clock, what remains at the heart of an escape
room is the genuine thrill of the quest, the joyous moments of
camaraderie, and the exhilaration of collective accomplishment. Remember
to breathe, look around, and savor the experience with your teammates.
Taking a moment to laugh when things don’t go as planned or cheering
together for each puzzle solved immortalizes the escape room experience
as a cherished chapter in your memory. After all, emerging victorious is
not merely about escaping the room—it’s about embracing each step of
the journey and the growth that comes with it.</span></p><p><br /><br /></p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

on the path to recovery is a profound transformation involving an
intricate process encompassing many physical, emotional, and spiritual
dimensions. Each individual's experience is unique, but typical phases
such as contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and potential
relapse are stepping stones toward lasting change. Integral to this
process is the recognition that overcoming addiction often requires
external support. A person might begin this process by attending local
resources such as </span><a href="https://www.aa-meetings.com/aa-meeting-location/new-york/brooklyn/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">AA Meetings Brooklyn</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
and gradually expand their support network to include various other
community resources that play a role in their journey to sobriety.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Community Support Systems: More Than Just Meetings</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">While
traditional support group meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous are
invaluable for many on their recovery journeys, the concept of community
support extends far beyond these structured gatherings. Community
support encompasses a variety of forms, from local mentorship programs
to recovery-oriented workshops and wellness activities. These systems
provide a safety net during moments of vulnerability and opportunities
for personal development and achieving a sense of purpose in one's life.
The benefit of such systems is multi-dimensional: providing individuals
in recovery with a crucial support network and enriching the broader
community through its members' active and meaningful participation.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The Science Behind Support Groups</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">A
substantial body of scientific research underpins the effectiveness of
support groups in the domain of addiction recovery. Programs
facilitating mutual aid, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, operate on the
principle that shared experiences and collective wisdom can create an
affirming environment for healing. Groups offer a sense of stability and
structure that is critically reinforcing during times of vulnerability,
which has been echoed by research from the National Institute on Drug
Abuse. Psychological safety, accountability, and a shared sense of
purpose are a few benefits that spur members toward recovery.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Navigating Recovery Resources in Urban Environments</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">With
their dense populations and complex sociocultural dynamics, urban areas
can be daunting for individuals seeking recovery resources. These
environments often present a double-edged sword: the vast array of
resources available can be as overwhelming as it can be supportive.
That's why many urban recovery programs focus on improving visibility
and accessibility, ensuring clear, recognizable pathways for individuals
to find help. Despite the anonymity that city life can provide, those
in recovery must be aware of the wealth of resources at their disposal,
from emergency hotlines to local support meetings that offer a community
of support akin to family.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Building a Personal Support System</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Recovery
is seldom a solitary journey, and thus, a personal support system is
often necessary for sustaining long-term sobriety. This support system
can include several pillars: dedicated healthcare providers,
compassionate family members, understanding friends, and community
support groups. The confluence of professional and peer support forms a
robust defense against the tribulations associated with addiction,
creating a comprehensive scaffolding on which individuals can rebuild
their lives. Informed and involved family and friends can provide a
resilient buffer against potential relapse, offering a source of
motivation and love.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Maintaining Sobriety through Community Engagement</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Maintaining
sobriety necessitates ongoing engagement with supportive structures.
Participation in community activities such as volunteering, advocacy, or
continuous learning can provide individuals with a renewed sense of
meaning and belonging. Those who actively engage in the betterment of
their communities not only fortify their recovery journey but also serve
as beacons of hope and inspiration for others grappling with addiction.
Such shared victories promote a culture of success and create a
nurturing environment for all members.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Digital Support Networks: The Online Landscape of Recovery</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
explosion of digital connectivity has transformed the landscape of
recovery support, dramatically widening the net of potential assistance.
Virtual meetings, online forums, and many digital resources provide an
invaluable lifeline for those who may find it challenging to access
in-person support due to geographical, temporal, or social constraints.
The provision of anonymity for those who prefer it and the availability
of support across different time zones are just a few examples of how
technology is revolutionizing the approach to recovery support networks.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The Stigma of Addiction and Community Perception</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Stigma
can cripple the journey to recovery before it even begins, shrouding it
in shame and fear. Altering community perceptions through persistent
education and open, honest dialogue is paramount in fostering a more
supportive and understanding environment. Educational campaigns and
public discussions can demystify addiction and elucidate the
complexities of recovery, thereby dissolving prejudices and broadening
awareness.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Cultural Sensitivity in Support Groups</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">A
one-size-fits-all approach to recovery is inadequate in addressing the
needs of increasingly diverse communities. Recognizing and embracing
cultural differences ensures that support groups remain inclusive and
effective. By reflecting on cultural sensitivities, support systems can
make all individuals feel seen, heard, and understood, enhancing overall
participation and efficacy.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Moving Forward: The Future of Community-Based Recovery Programs</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
landscape of recovery is continually evolving, and with it, the methods
employed to support those in transition. Community-based programs are
beginning to embrace cutting-edge strategies, such as leveraging
smartphone apps and social media platforms to connect, engage, and
empower individuals. Such modern tools complement traditional recovery
models and offer new avenues for growth and connection.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Resilience and Recovery: Personal Stories of Overcoming Addiction</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">The
potency of personal stories in narrating the journey out of addiction
cannot be overstated. They humanize the experience of recovery and
highlight the resilience of the human spirit. Hearing and sharing these
narratives can be profoundly moving and impactful as a source of
inspiration and cohesion within the recovery community. The </span><a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/national-helpline" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">SAMHSA's National Helpline</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
is an exemplary platform, connecting people to these empowering
narratives and offering support to those in need, regardless of where
they stand on their path to recovery.</span></p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="content"><p>You love your dog, and it's natural to want to
give it a good life. Whether you work from home or have to go into the
office, your dog needs activity and interaction to feel its best.
Additionally, dogs that get plenty of play time are often better behaved
and less destructive, so that can protect your house from damage, too.
Fortunately, the right kinds of enclosures can keep your dog happy and
protect your home at the same time, so everyone benefits from them.</p><h2>Working Can Mean Leaving Your Dog Unsupervised</h2><p>When
you have to go to work you can't watch your dog. Even if you're working
from home, your four-legged friend isn't going to sit quietly and let
you focus all day. That means leaving your pet without supervision, and
you don't know what kinds of things they'll get up to. Instead of having
to hire a pet sitter, or getting up from your desk at home to check on
them all the time, you can <a href="https://www.akcchf.org/canine-health/your-dogs-health/10-tips-to-keep-your-dog-healthy.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">give them the right space to stay active</a> and also secure.</p><h2>The Right Enclosure Adds Convenience to Peace of Mind</h2><p>By choosing a great <a href="https://clearlylovedpets.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">dog play pen</a>
that fits the size of your dog and their activity needs, you'll have a
space for them to sleep, play with their toys, and see the world around
them. You may be able to put it near a window, depending on the layout
of your home, so they can see outside, too. The goal is to keep them
from getting bored while you work, so you can get it done and take them
for a walk or outside to get additional activity. It's not good for your
dog to lie around all day.</p><h2>Give Your Dog a Comfortable, Happy Place to Be</h2><p>You
want your dog to stay active, but that's not the only thing
that matters to keep them healthy. They also need a comfortable space
when they're tired or want to relax. The right size pen gives them that,
because they can stretch out and feel content without lying on their
toys or a food dish.</p><p>Your dog mostly just wants to be close to
you, but when that's not possible, it's important that they feel safe.
They'll wait for you to come back, whether you're in the next room or
across the city, and you want to give them a good experience while
they're waiting.</p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

<br />
Seasonal tasks around the home are something I do because having a set time of year to do them keeps me on my toes. The cold weather is going away soon and the sunny long days or Spring and Summer will be here before you know it so I always take this time to do several tasks around my home. </span><br /><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /><b>
1. I vacuum every nook and cranny. </b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I relentlessly go room to room moving furniture so I can vacuum behind everything. I vacuum the ceilings and closets and literally make sure there is not a single area of my home that hasn't been touched by the vacuum, even the walls. I'm always surprised how much dust and debris builds up especially underneath and behind dressers. Now of course I regularly do this during the year but when I specifically make an effort to vacuum this way for Spring it ensures i won't just try to rush through it.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">2. I wipe down hard to reach areas. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">The very tops of shelves, the tippy tops of cupboard doors, and floorboards in my home get a very good wipe down and cleaning every Spring. I will get up on a step stool and make sure that if I could see through my own roof, every single surface visible to my eye has been cleaned. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">3. I refresh linens. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">By refresh I mean that if I have throw pillows that are losing their fluff after a couple of years, I replace the inserts. I check my hand towels and bath towels and if they're worn enough, I'll buy replacements. I change out throw blankets from the warm Winter ones to thinner ones for Spring temperatures. If any bedsheets are starting to wear I consider purchasing a new set. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">4. Toiletry purge occurs. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I go through all of my toiletries and makeup as well as beauty and first aid supplies and I get rid of anything too old or expired. I then pare down and get rid of anything I haven't been using. I wipe down the storage areas for these things before I put the ones I'm keeping back. Also, this is when I wash my makeup brushes. I don't wear makeup much anymore these days thanks to working from home but it's still an important task to clean those brushes and replace those sponges. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /><b>
5. I nurture my houseplants. </b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Now that the weather is warming up, my plants will begin growing again after months of being dormant. So I take the time to check each plant for pests, dead leaves, icky soil, etc. and I tend to them as needed. I also check each pot to see if the plant's rootbound and needs repotted. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">6. I clean my area rug and sofa. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I use my <a href="https://amzn.to/3MvQuma">Bissell Little Green Machine</a> to clean my sofa and I also use it on our single area rug in the living room. I work in sections and take my time to ensure I get all the dirt and grime that's built up over the Winter months. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">7. I clean out my kitchen. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I go through relentlessly to get rid of any expired food items in the cupboards, fridge, and freezer. I wipe everything down and put things away carefully, reorganizing where it's needed. I make lists of anything expired that needs replaced so I can get it from the grocery store and I note items that are expiring soon so I can use them in my upcoming meal plans. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">8. I prepare my outdoor living area. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">My screened in porch gets a ton of use in the warm months so I take the time to vacuum high and low including the furniture. I wipe down all surfaces to get rid of any built up grime. I take the time to tidy up my plant pot storage and rearrange the room if I need to since I tend to push my furniture together in the Winter so it's harder for the snow to get through the screen and onto the furniture. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">What do you do to prepare for Spring around YOUR home? <br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">
<br />
I always see people talking about how they have made journaling a part of their morning routine, or any time of day for that matter. But a lot of people have also said they struggle to do it because they aren't sure what to write. I'm one of those people. Sometimes I think I'd want a prompt but other times I just want to vent. I have actually embraced writing in a journal every morning for the last year, even if it's just one sentence. So if you are looking to do the same, here's how you can start. </span><br /><br />
<a name='more'></a><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Pick a Journal</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">You can buy a blank journal which works really well for some people. Other people prefer a sketchbook so they can doodle along with their journal entries. Some people use their daily/weekly planner to journal. And at times I've actually bought journals that have writing prompts in them. Whatever works for you is fine but if you're starting out and don't know what might work for you, consider just getting a daily planner book so there's a space everyday for you to write. I actually prefer moon phase journals most of the time because I like to see what's going on in the world (or solar system) to kind of explain my moods. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Pick a Time</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">To make writing in your journal part of your daily routine you need to start making it become a habit. This is done by repeatedly writing every day. So when you pick a time of day that works best for you to have time to actually write, you're going to really establish that behavior as part of your daily routine. For me, journaling is done in the morning. Usually I do it after I shower or right before I sign on to work for the day. I keep the journal and pen in a place where I can easily access them. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Pick a Prompt</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">This part is the tricky one but it doesn't have to be. You can start by just writing down how you feel like if you're tired, motivated, etc. I have <a href="https://www.askawayblog.com/2020/08/30-days-of-journal-prompts.html">30 days of journal prompts</a> you can pick and choose and use repeatedly throughout the year. Sometimes having a prompt when you can't think of anything else to write is really helpful. Sometimes I even write at the end of the day in my journal to recap stuff that happened. You don't even have to be all deep and fancy with it. If you just want to journal by writing down your plans for the day, that still counts! It's actually like setting intentions for the day when you do that. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I feel like writing in a journal is a great way to spend a few moments with yourself each day and get things out of your head and onto paper. Sometimes it's cathartic to write down emotions you may be feeling too. It doesn't have to be a big grand production, just get started and make it a habit and along the way you can change things like what you write about or even what you write in. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Do you have a daily habit of writing in a journal? Tell me about it!<br /></span></div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">
</span>Steering through the exhilarating maze of car
shopping can feel like navigating a bustling marketplace. With flashy
models winking at you from every direction and persuasive offers
dangling like ripe fruit, it's easy to get lost.<div class="content"><p>Yet,
anchoring your search around a reputable, certified dealer acts as your
trusty compass, ensuring a ride that's not only thrilling but also
secure. Below, we've unveiled a treasure trove of insider tips, helping
you unravel the mystery of finding the perfect car dealer.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Dive Into Customer Reviews</span></h2><p>In
today's digital age, customer reviews are invaluable when evaluating a
car dealership. See what customers say about a dealership before
checking out that <a href="https://www.browndaubkia.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">new Kia for sale</a> on a local lot.</p><p>Look
beyond star ratings, and pay attention to specific experiences
customers share. Check multiple platforms and social media channels for a
comprehensive understanding. Genuine feedback often reveals a dealer's
customer service, after-sales support, and overall credibility.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Examine Certification and Accreditation</span></h2><p>Reputable car dealers affiliate themselves with industry-recognized organizations and certifications.</p><p>Look for accreditations like the <a href="https://www.nada.org/nada/about-nada/about-nada" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">National Automobile Dealers Association</a>
or the Better Business Bureau. These certifications validate a dealer's
commitment to ethical business practices and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, certifications from specific car manufacturers indicate a
dealer's reliability and expertise in handling their brand.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Understand Transparent Pricing and Policies</span></h2><p>Honest, transparent pricing is a hallmark of a trustworthy dealer.</p><p>While attractive offers might lure you, it's vital to ensure there are no <a href="https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/advice/hidden-dealer-costs-you-should-avoid" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">hidden costs</a>
or misleading terms. Reliable dealers provide a clear breakdown of all
purchase expenses, including taxes, fees, and optional add-ons.
Understanding their return policy and warranty terms is essential for a
worry-free ownership experience.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Explore Longevity and Track Record</span></h2><p>A dealer's longevity in the business speaks volumes about their reliability.</p><p>Look
for dealerships with a solid track record and a history of satisfied
customers. Established dealers often prioritize customer satisfaction
and strive to maintain a positive community reputation. Consider how
long they've operated and their local market standing to gauge their
credibility.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Look for a Customer-Centric Approach</span></h2><p>A
customer-centric approach is the cornerstone of a reputable car dealer.
A good car salesperson prioritizes your needs and preferences,
providing personalized guidance throughout the purchasing process.</p><p>Whether
understanding your budget, recommending suitable models, or offering
post-sale support, a customer-centric dealer ensures a seamless and
pleasant buying journey.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">Evaluate the Facility and Staff</span></h2><p>The dealer's showroom appearance and staff conduct reveal much about their professionalism.</p><p>A
well-maintained facility reflects the dealer's commitment to providing
customers with an inviting environment. Knowledgeable and courteous
staff willing to address your queries and concerns are crucial in
building trust and confidence in their services.</p><h2><span style="color: windowtext;">The Road to Automotive Bliss Starts With the Right Dealer</span></h2><p>When
searching for a new set of wheels, investing time in assessing a
dealer's reputation and certification is paramount. By considering
customer reviews, certifications, pricing transparency, track record,
customer-centric approach, and the overall dealership experience, you
can ensure a hassle-free and satisfying car buying experience. Remember,
a reputable dealer doesn't just sell cars; they build lasting customer
relationships. So, choose wisely and drive confidently!</p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

<br />
I'm one of the most introverted people I know and I also don't like leaving the house and wasting my time running errands. As I've adopted a more minimalistic and simplistic lifestyle, I try to cut my errands down. One of the ways I do this is by meal planning two weeks at a time and then grocery shopping every 2 weeks. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br />
It's not that I don't like grocery shopping, I just don't enjoy the tempting impulse buys and the overwhelming options of everything. So how do I manage to only go every two weeks? Well keep reading! </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Meal Planning for 2 Weeks at a Time</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I sit down every two weeks and meal plan for the next two. I made a <a href="https://www.askawayblog.com/2019/03/a-beginners-guide-to-meal-planning.html">beginner's guide to meal planning</a> to explain my process. I take into consideration any activities on our calendar so I know if I have time to make certain meals or should opt for easier ones on certain days. Meal planning means I know exactly what to expect each day for our dinner. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">After I plan the meals I make my grocery list by going from meal to meal writing down any ingredients I need and checking my kitchen to see if something's already well stocked. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Taking Stock of What I Have</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Sometimes I go through my pantries and fridge to see what items I have that I could use for a meal. This way I don't have to buy them new and I also ensure what I have already won't go bad. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Planning Produce Meals for the First Week</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I plan meals that require fresh produce in the first week or so of my meal plan. This way, I don't have to make extra trips because the produce goes bad. By thinking this out well in advance, I never have issues and never have to run out on an emergency trip. This is even easier during the gardening season since I grow my own veggies. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Sticking to an Organized Grocery List</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">When I make my grocery list I write it down in the order of the way I shop through the store. When I get to the store I stick to my list. I only go to the aisles and shelves that I need to. I use laser focus when shopping and if I'm not looking at my list I'm looking at the item I'm grabbing off the shelves. I don't pay attention to end caps and promotional items that will add to my grocery bill. Doing this ensures I stick to the same general budgeted amount for groceries every 2 weeks. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Buying Emergency Options</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I usually buy a couple frozen meals or dry meal kits to keep on hand for times where something comes up and we just can't cook. This is also great if something interrupts my schedule of planing and shopping so I don't have to worry about not having anything to eat. Plus, I don't get tempted to order food and spend way too much money when I could have just ate what I already had in the house. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Utilizing Leftovers</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">If I cook an especially big meal that I know will have leftover portions, I use that for a 2 day dinner. I get so excited when I don't have to cook so leftovers are something I really enjoy. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">So if you want to cut back your grocery trips, try my method and see if it works for you. Maybe you can go more than 2 weeks or maybe just a week and a half. Either way, if you're saving time and energy, you're on the right path! <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Image Here.

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="content"><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Installing
epoxy floors in your garage can be a satisfying DIY project. It's easy
to maintain and provides a durable, attractive surface that protects
your floor from damage. Sweep away dust regularly and mop up spills as
they occur to keep your epoxy floor looking flawless. Regular
inspections and handling minor problems before they worsen are also
crucial.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent;">Prepare the Surface</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Before
applying the epoxy, you must ensure your floor is prepared correctly.
The epoxy will likely chip or peel away if you skip this step.
Moisture-related issues can also cause the epoxy to bubble or
delaminate. It is where a moisture meter comes in handy. Before applying
any floor coatings, an </span><a href="https://www.epoxynorthwest.com/garage-floor/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">epoxy installer</a><span style="background-color: transparent;"> will
use this tool to test for moisture in the concrete. If any moisture is
present, a primer will remove it before proceeding. A shot blaster is
another way to prepare the surface for the coating. This method uses
machinery to pummel metal beads into the floor, removing any scratches
or stains on the concrete surface. It allows for a smooth surface that
will bond well with the epoxy.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent;">Clean the Surface</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Epoxy
floors are like the Marilyn Monroe of flooring – they're highly durable
and look beautiful. But they're not indestructible; you must ensure you
care for them. Moisture-related problems are a big issue for epoxy
surfaces and can cause bubbles and discoloration. Moisture levels should
be tested using a concrete moisture meter before installation. Once the
floor is installed, a regular cleaning schedule should be followed. A
weekly sweep and mop is part of it to eliminate dust and debris that can
harm the coating. It's a good idea to use walk-off mats at the entrance
to your garage or shop and put protective pads under heavy equipment
and tools to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent;">Mix the Epoxy</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Due
to its two-part composition of hardener and resin, epoxy reacts
chemically when applied to a floor. It is a robust and durable material
used in various applications. The epoxy must be adequately mixed before
it is applied to the surface. It ensures the epoxy will adhere to the
concrete and not peel or blister later. Use the appropriate hardener
ratio to resin when mixing the epoxy. Also, mixing the mixture on a flat
surface instead of in a small bowl is a good idea, as this will help
reduce the heat generated by the reaction. The mixed epoxy can be rolled
onto the surface using a roller or squeegee. It is essential to
remember that the epoxy must be allowed to cure for some time before it
can be walked on or cleaned.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent;">Apply the Epoxy</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">The
first step to a flawless epoxy floor is carefully and skillfully
cutting in around the edges using a roller pad designed for epoxies.
It's also essential to mask and paint any wall corners with the same mix
you used on the floors to create a cohesive look. After completing all
the repair work and the optional etching process, it's time to begin
applying the epoxy. It's essential to follow the instructions on your
product data-sheet. Each epoxy comprises two parts - a resin and an
activator - and must be adequately mixed to achieve the desired result.
Once the epoxy is applied, it should dry for a few days. During this
period, you will want to keep all vehicles, foot traffic, and equipment
out of the area.</span></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent;">Let It Dry</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Once
the first coat can dry, your pros will use a squeegee and roller to
banish air bubbles and smooth out any ridges that formed during the
pour. This step is essential to avoid later problems, such as peeling
and delamination. The floor's temperature is also critical during the
epoxy coating process. Epoxies and </span><a href="https://www.corrosionpedia.com/definition/4401/polyaspartic" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #4a6ee0;" target="_blank">polyaspartic</a><span style="background-color: transparent;"> are
designed to withstand certain temperatures, but if the concrete slab is
cold or below 55 degrees, this could impact the curing process.
Regularly sweep and vacuum your new epoxy flooring to remove any dirt,
dust, or debris that might scratch the surface. Never use abrasive
cleansers or cleaning pads, as these can scratch the epoxy and make
future stains more likely. If you need to move heavy items, lift them
instead of sliding them.</span></p></div></div>

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">
</span><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Depending
on the type of plan, contributions are made on a pre-tax basis, and
earnings from investments are tax-deferred. Find out more by reviewing
your plan documents or asking your employer or the plan administrator.</span><div class="content"><p><br /></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Tax-Deferred Savings</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">One
of the most critical aspects of retirement planning is ensuring you
save enough money to live comfortably once you stop working. After all,
Social Security benefits can only go so far, and most people do not want
to work right up until their death.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Tax-deferred
savings are a great way to help you build your savings. These types of
accounts, such as IRAs and 401(k) plans, allow you to contribute pre-tax
dollars that grow tax-free until they are withdrawn, typically after
retirement. This reduces your taxable income in the current year and can
make retirement savings more attractive to many people.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Many companies, such as </span><a href="https://www.olympicwm.com/boeing-associates/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">Boeing employee benefits</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">,
also match a portion of your contributions to these retirement savings
accounts, increasing your total savings even further. However, if you
cannot access an employer-sponsored plan or maximize contributions to
these accounts, consider other tax-incentivized savings opportunities,
such as certificates of deposit (CDs) or blue-chip stocks, to bolster
your nest egg.</span></p><p><br /></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Income in Retirement</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">For
many retirees, the goal is to turn a lifetime of savings into a steady
income in retirement. The right balance of savings, other income
sources, and investment returns is key.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Generally, Fidelity recommends saving 15% of their </span><a href="https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/pretax-earnings.asp" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">pre-tax income</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">
each year. However, that rate can vary depending on several factors,
such as when you plan to retire, your lifestyle, and when you started
saving.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Another
important consideration is the income you can expect in retirement,
including Social Security benefits (which tend to play a larger role for
lower-income workers) and other predictable and permanent income
sources like pensions or home equity. For example, you need $50,000 a
year to live comfortably in retirement. Fidelity estimates that, on
average, Social Security will replace about 74% of your pre-retirement
income. </span></p><p><br /></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Long-Term Care Insurance</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Many
retirees find themselves in need of long-term care services or support.
These services may include home healthcare, assisted living, or nursing
home care. Unfortunately, many boomers cannot afford these expenses
with their savings and may end up draining their retirement assets or
becoming dependent on state welfare programs like Medi-Cal.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Investing
in a long-term care policy now can help prevent this from occurring. It
can also alleviate the burden on family members, who often shoulder the
financial and emotional costs of providing care.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">There are four main ways to pay for long-term care:</span></p><ul><li><span style="background-color: transparent;">Government assistance.</span></li><li><span style="background-color: transparent;">Traditional long-term care insurance.</span></li><li><span style="background-color: transparent;">"Hybrid" policies offer life or annuity and long-term care benefits.</span></li><li><span style="background-color: transparent;">Personal savings.</span></li></ul><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">AARP
recommends buying a traditional long-term care policy with a level
premium, which protects against increases based on age or health status.</span></p><p><br /></p><h2><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Life Insurance</span></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">Life
insurance is a critical component of retirement planning for anyone who
has dependents. It helps ensure that any surviving spouse or children
will not have to borrow money from creditors or take on debt in the
event of your death. It can also help cover final expenses and funeral
costs. For most people, a term life policy will meet these needs at an
affordable cost. But permanent life policies, including whole and
universal policies, may also offer cash value in addition to death
benefits, which can supplement retirement savings.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">A
special type of permanent life insurance called a Life Insurance
Retirement Plan (LIRP) allocates a portion of each premium payment to a
savings account that builds over time at a predetermined rate of return.
LIRPs cannot be term policies; they can't be </span><a href="https://www.forbes.com/advisor/retirement/what-is-401k/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">401(k)</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;"> or IRA plans because they don't have dedicated retirement investment options.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #0e101a;">LIRPs
are best for those who want to fund their retirement with traditional
savings and investing accounts, especially those who expect to have
large financial goals that may exceed the maximum limits of their other
saving vehicles.</span></p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="content"><p>Most homeowners think about refinancing their
home to cash out on some of the equity they have built up to make a few
renovations. Others do so in order to reduce their payments. While these
are good reasons, they can have a downside and end up costing you more
money in the long run. There are things you can do before you refinance
your home to make sure you are on the right track. Go over your reasons
and follow these tips to ensure you are making a good decision.</p><h3>Check Your Credit</h3><p>Check
your credit reports and dispute any inaccuracies. If you have paid off
any old accounts, ask to have them removed. Look for any lines of <a href="https://www.statefarm.com/simple-insights/financial/what-to-consider-before-refinancing-your-home" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">credit</a> or
accounts that you didn't open. Call the credit bureaus and ask them
about anything you don't understand or recognize. Make sure you
understand any unexpected changes in your credit scores. If you notice
any small balances, try to get them paid off before you apply for your
refi loan. This will improve your debt-to-income ratio and increase your
approval odds.</p><h3>Balance the Pros and Cons</h3><p>Before you make
any major financial decision, go over the pros and cons. Take a look at
what your next year will look like financially. Make sure your employment is on solid ground and you don't have any major expenses that may end up surprising you. Look at the <a href="https://money.com/mortgage-refinance-steps-checklist/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">interest rates</a> to
find out if refinancing will knock them down a little or raise them
higher. If your loan is almost paid off, do you really want to add more
years back onto it? Will the renovations you plan on making really add
substantially to your home's value?</p><h3><strong>Make a Few Minor Repairs</strong></h3><p>Making a few minor repairs and upgrades will boost the current value of your home and improve your <a href="https://www.investopedia.com/mortgage/refinance/9-things-to-know-before-you-refinance-mortgage/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">odds of approval</a>.
A coat of paint and a few new light fixtures will go a long way in
making your home look fresh and revitalized. Giving your home a good
cleaning and eliminating unnecessary clutter will also help. Create more
storage space by adding a few shelves and a closet organizer or two.
Make sure that everything is put away, so you don't have a lot of dust
catchers around your home.</p><h3><strong>Improve Your Curb Appeal</strong></h3><p>Improve
your home's curb appeal by cleaning your lawn and keeping it neatly
trimmed. Make sure all exterior lights are in good working order. Wash
your windows and clear out any debris from landscaped areas. Put all the
toys and lawn implements away, so your lawn does not look cluttered or
messy. Sweep your sidewalks and driveway. It's the little things you do
to the exterior of your home that will boost its curb appeal and make it
shine. This won't go very far if your home has already been valued</p><p>When
you finally make the decision to refinance, you will want to visit
several lenders, including websites like <a href="https://robsmortgageloans.com/">Rob's Mortgage Loans</a>.
You will find many of the answers to your questions, as well as options
you may not have considered in the past. Do what you need to do that
will allow you to reach your financial goals.</p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

Shark Corded Stick Vacuum</b></span><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Shark has ALWAYS been my favorite brand of vacuum to use. The stick models are so lightweight and easy to store. I prefer a corded version because I store mine in a cleaning closet that doesn't have an outlet so I didn't want the added task of having to pull it out and charge the cordless version. I vacuum twice a week and it's so easy. This vacuum can maneuver in all the nooks and crannies of my home and I love the attachments. Also, don't ever forget to order replacement filters for your vacuum. I change mine every few months and it really does make a difference. I've tried Dyson vacuums and I STILL prefer Shark when it comes to my everyday vacuum. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHgeSm07MUAlAIx-5p4TZ3QWtdwTcj1SjnroWgOpqKzvCNgOLhUiPpFWeEPgyLAJDO1w4NsHnD5eKNzhZyCe3N-e_RDDRvZ8sOGIzYzMqTAIElrBK2pvnDSH6lfnEKmfhBfW6yiwOJUy_YchUPwe0lCAtYcw0MIthfjtJ_8qJRA-OoIUhP7pyU6TubZ5t9/s1040/Screenshot%202023-11-05%20at%2010.43.04%20AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1040" data-original-width="876" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHgeSm07MUAlAIx-5p4TZ3QWtdwTcj1SjnroWgOpqKzvCNgOLhUiPpFWeEPgyLAJDO1w4NsHnD5eKNzhZyCe3N-e_RDDRvZ8sOGIzYzMqTAIElrBK2pvnDSH6lfnEKmfhBfW6yiwOJUy_YchUPwe0lCAtYcw0MIthfjtJ_8qJRA-OoIUhP7pyU6TubZ5t9/w540-h640/Screenshot%202023-11-05%20at%2010.43.04%20AM.png" width="540" /></a></div></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><a href="https://amzn.to/3QoAjbx"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Bissell Spinwave Floor Mop</span></a></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Every other week I use this on all of the rooms that my robot doesn't go in. One thing that many people would want from their home is for it to be calm, and that’s something that you are certainly going to want to consider here too. But how can you ensure that your home is a calm place to be? In this post, we are going to take a look at some of the main ways to achieve this that you might want to be aware of. Let’s see how to make the home calmer.</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;"><span style="border: none; display: inline-block; height: 544px; overflow: hidden; width: 363px;"><img height="544" src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/U60ISVJHe3IlLPHMKqrakBll3agZjxT7uMOtkAAMFjrHuOspssz6MlF6har0TaxzMcQtR4JY22QzpOztjP18ywJw3gLgZFGhJ4YAI5oIC5OhpkAVjn-kGS1Pwb_LnNqwfX2-Z0ltviDK4IY_fzGsECU" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;" width="363" /></span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><a href="https://www.pexels.com/photo/white-couch-on-wooden-floor-4352247/" style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="-webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; text-decoration: underline; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Image Source - CCO License</span></a></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Keep On Top Of Maintenance</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">One of the things that can really help is to make sure that you are keeping on top of your home maintenance. As long as you are doing that, it’s probably going to mean that it’s much easier and more enjoyable to be in the home, because that will make a considerable difference. You won’t be worrying about what needs doing and so on - you will just simply be able to enjoy being in your home. So definitely make sure that you are keeping up with all the relevant maintenance you might need to be doing.</span></p><br /><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Keep It Clean</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Similarly, it’s much easier to enjoy your home if it is </span><a href="https://www.veranda.com/decorating-ideas/a1041/peaceful-decor/" style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="-webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; text-decoration: underline; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">clean and tidy</span></a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">. Keeping it such is hugely important. It will mean that you are able to enjoy the space so much more easily for what it is, and that is something that we are probably all keen for in our homes. The simple act of daily cleaning, followed by regular deeper cleaning, should mean that you find it a lot calmer and more enjoyable to be in your home, so this is certainly worth being aware of as well here.</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;"><span style="border: none; display: inline-block; height: 626px; overflow: hidden; width: 417px;"><img height="626" src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/5LttkvPO0yyKizzPsl7gTtAnkk4algbPZDZtVBZGqUbEzDptNMVZ7l3DsK_KlasHVNgD1K4I3V81lk9BTD-s9WIUDZs7EPQyXlJ3ME_qSoCYSTEmkRoLihIWdu2Jc-_Gu57C-_uIPq-Xp-RaoGs8CiA" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;" width="417" /></span></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><a href="https://www.pexels.com/photo/interior-of-spacious-room-in-modern-house-5570224/" style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="-webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; text-decoration: underline; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Image Source - CCO License</span></a></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">Tame Your Pets</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: pre;">If you have any pets, it’s good to know how they are affecting the space, as it could be that you need to try and keep them calm in order for you to be calm too. With that in mind, consider whether they need taming in any way. But if you want the home to be calm, you’ll find that it is definitely helpful if the colors are calm themselves. Going for pastels and the like is certainly going to mean that your home is much calmer as a space, so that is something you should think about here. It will make a huge difference all in all to how you experience your home.</span></p><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

I am probably one of the most practical people out there especially when it comes to giving and receiving gifts. I don't like things that are wasteful. When it comes to gifts for others I tend to get very useful and practical things. It's a better use of my money and I think the receiver always appreciates it. So if you are anything like me and are looking for practical Valentine's Day gift ideas, look no further. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br />
<b>Food</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Food is a great gift because it absolutely will be consumed. It's not something that will just be thrown away or never used. If it's a baked good there's even a tight time frame that it has to be consumed in. There are lots of food boxes out there like jerky gift boxes, gluten free and vegan gift boxes, cookies, cakes, and more. If you have someone on your list that likes something specific, just get them what you know they'll love. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><b>Clothing</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Now hear me out because clothing sometimes is a risky gift but I'm talking practical things like a jacket that you know your partner needs or workout gear that they've had their eyes on. Shoes are often something people have on their wish list and they'll obviously get used so that's always a great place to start. Hats, belts, wallets, clutches, and any kind of accessory is also a great idea. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Small Appliances/Tools</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">So I may be strange but I love me a good cleaning appliance like a vacuum, carpet cleaner, etc. I often ask for those things for holidays from my husband and it doesn't get more practical than that. If there's an appliance that needs replaced and your spouse or partner uses it often (toaster, microwave, etc.) have at it! Also for men, tools like drills and sets of tools are a great idea. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Reference Books</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Reference books like encyclopedias on different topics like crystals, cars, etc. are a great idea for someone that has specific hobbies and interests and enjoys reading. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Kitchen Items</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">A new set of pots and pans or a new matching set of dishes/plates/cups are always a great gift idea and SO practical. Only consider this if it's actually needed though otherwise you're just adding stuff that may sit in a cabinet for years unused. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Gift Cards</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">It doesn't get more practical than this. But the trick is to be creative with gift cards. If you know your partner likes to get spa treatments, manicures, or haircuts from somewhere specific, get a gift certificate to that place. For the car lover, a car wash gift card is a great idea or even a detailing package. If you have someone that loves shopping at specific places for clothing, get them a gift card to their favorite retail store. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">A Night Out</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">This can be as simple as a dinner and a movie or a specific experience like a comedy show. The gift of experience is great because you create memories with it so it's basically a neverending gift. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Acts of Service</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">If something has needed built or repaired or replaced, do that as the gift. No one can be mad at a new bookshelf to replace the broken one. Think outside the box for this one. Even if it's as simple as taking over household chores for the week, acts of service are an ideal gift for someone you love and care about. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Hopefully these give you some ideas whether it's for shopping for a loved one or what to put on YOUR list. <br />

<p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">Want
to keep your car looking and running like it's brand new? Many car
owners face the challenge of maintaining their vehicle's pristine
condition, which is crucial for both its value and performance. In this
guide, we'll unveil five essential tips that are key to preserving your
car's immaculate state.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black;"> </span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">By
embracing these straightforward yet effective strategies, ranging from
regular maintenance to understanding the nuances of car repaint costs,
you'll ensure your car not only retains its fantastic appearance but
also operates at peak efficiency.</span></p><p><br /></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">1. Regular Washing and Waxing</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">To
keep your car's appearance dazzling, regular washing and waxing are
indispensable. Regular cleansing removes harmful dirt and grime, while a
good waxing session provides a protective shield to the paintwork,
preserving its luster and preventing it from fading. This ritual is not
just about aesthetics; it also plays a crucial role in warding off rust,
ensuring your car's outer shell remains as impeccable as the day you
got it.</span></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">2. Avoiding Hard Acceleration and Braking</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">The
way you drive has a profound impact on your car’s overall health.
Steering clear of aggressive acceleration and abrupt braking goes a long
way in preserving the mechanical integrity of your vehicle. Such
mindful driving habits minimize the wear and tear on crucial components,
extending the life of your car’s engine and braking system.</span></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">3. Protecting It Against Environmental Factors</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">Your
car's external body is continuously exposed to environmental elements —
the blazing sun, relentless rain, and the occasional snowfall.
Shielding it from these elements by parking in shaded areas, using
protective car covers, and occasionally refreshing its coat with quality
paint can significantly reduce the toll these factors take. In
addition, understanding your options of </span><a href="https://stormwisehailrepair.com/car-paint-repair-cost/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">various car painting services and costs</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">
comes handy. This knowledge helps you make well-informed decisions
about regular maintenance, ensuring your car doesn’t just look its best
but also maintains its value over the years.</span></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">4. Following Your Scheduled Maintenance</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">Sticking
to your car's recommended maintenance schedule is vital for its optimal
functioning. Routine check-ups, oil changes, and timely part
replacements are the lifeblood of a smooth-running vehicle. This
proactive approach to maintenance not only enhances performance but also
saves you from expensive repairs in the future.</span></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">5. Prompt Repair of Exterior Damage</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">Keeping
the exterior of your car in top shape is crucial. You may be tempted to
try repairing rust, dent, and small issues by yourself. Be very careful
as some will cause more damage. </span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">There
is a lot of miss-information out there on the internet. I trust only
reputable resources about even seemingly simple jobs like </span><a href="https://stormwisehailrepair.com/how-to-remove-deep-scratches-from-car-at-home/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="background-color: transparent; color: #1155cc;" target="_blank">DIY methods to remove scratches from cars</a><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">. </span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">Promptly
and professionally addressing issues like scratches and rust prevents
them from worsening and helps preserve the vehicle's aesthetic and
resale value.</span></p><h2><strong style="background-color: transparent; color: black;">Conclusion</strong></h2><p><span style="background-color: transparent; color: #374151;">Preserving
your car’s ‘like-new’ condition is a multifaceted endeavor. It involves
a blend of responsible driving habits, diligent maintenance, and timely
care. A deep understanding of car care, from adhering to maintenance
schedules to estimating car repaint costs, is crucial. By adhering to
these tips, you not only extend the life of your vehicle but also ensure
that it remains a delight to drive for many years.</span></p><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

I know it's only January but these months go by and I miss gardening so I take advantage of this non-garden friendly weather to plan out what I will be planting and growing in this year's garden. I always reflect on what worked in last year's garden, what I didn't eat a lot of, and what didn't seem to thrive, and that's how I determine what I'll do this year. So here's what I plan to grow in 2024. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><b>Lettuce</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I will always grow lettuce even if am someday to old to grow anything else. This is because nothing beats a fresh salad in the Spring and Summer. I usually grow romaine lettuce, kale, butter crunch, and bibb lettuce but sometimes I switch it up. I buy my seeds towards the end of Winter so I can get an early start as soon the season's about to change. Lettuce is a cold weather crop so it's a great way for me to get my gardening fix in as early as possible in the season even when other crops can't be planted yet. I usually can keep my lettuce growing through mid summer before it starts going to seed because of the temperatures. And by then I'm usually getting sick of salads... if that's even a thing. To harvest it I simply go outside with my garden scissors and snip leaves every 2-3 days. I do this AFTER I water my lettuce because that's my way of rinsing it off. I bring it inside and then place it in a ziplock bag in the fridge. There's a separate bag for each type of lettuce and I poke holes in it with a fork so it can breathe a little and not get all icky from the moisture. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Sugar Snap Peas</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">This is a new one for me and I have never grown peas but everyone says it's super easy. I'll have a trellis available to use since I won't be using it for cucumbers (more on that later) so I already have the supplies, I will just get the seeds whenever I shop for my lettuce seeds. I also want to grow peas since they are another cool weather crop that will do well in the early growing season and let me get my garden fix in. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><b>Peppers</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I love peppers and even though there are all kinds to choose from I'm going to stick with my two favorites that I love eating but also that seem to thrive in my garden beds. Gypsy bells and basic sweet bell peppers always grow fast and well in my beds. I rarely have them go bad on the vine. I have tried other types of sweet peppers but they often stay on the vine too long and don't turn color so I'm sticking with the ones I know will do well. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I'm also doing banana peppers again as well as jalapeno and pepperoncini. These do well in my beds and we eat them all the time. I always add the peppers to our pizzas too. Since these are smaller peppers they don't take up tons of room in my garden beds and are very low maintenance. Another small pepper I'm going to try this year is shishito peppers. This will be a new one for me but I like the taste so we will see how they do. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Tomatoes</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I always grow tomatoes to add to things, make pasta sauce, and for tomato sandwiches. I usually just grow one plant because they take up so much space and need regular pruning. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><u>What I'm NOT Growing </u></span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Well, I have learned that some thing just aren't worth my time or energy and this year it's going to be a couple things. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><b>Cucumbers</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I used to love growing cucumbers but they can be a lot of work and get messy when they start growing out of control and getting tangled on the trellis. I also don't use them a whole lot and end up with way too many and I get so sick of them by the middle of summer. My neighbors grow them too so no sense in me growing them to give them away because nobody needs them. Not growing them this year will make room for my peas. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Zucchini</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I haven't grown zucchini in a couple years and that's because it takes up too much space for my two raised garden beds. I also struggled to get a good harvest in the past so I think I'll just buy them from the store this year. Again, saving me space, time, and energy. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">What are you growing in your garden this year and why? What aren't you growing? </span><br />

<br />
As someone who enjoys <a href="https://www.askawayblog.com/2022/12/tips-for-winter-running.html">running outdoors</a>, I also really enjoy doing so in the cold weather months. This is for a number of reasons which I will outline below but wanted to make this post simply for the fact that I know there are other people out there that could benefit from continuing their outdoor running even in the low temps. </span><br /><br />
<span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><br /><b>
I wear light layers. </b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Yes, that's right....I don't bulk up with the layers. This is because when you run outdoors, within 1-2 minutes your body heats up quite quickly and it actually makes it feel like it's about 20 degrees warmer than what it actually is. The key is to feel slightly uncomfortable when you first step outside. I rarely have to wear heavy layers because I never feel the cold the way I would if I just went outside and stood there for 20 minutes. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I embrace the dark but bring lights. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I personally love running in the dark because not only can no one see me but there's no one really out there. I also don't have to worry about the sun in my eyes or the sun beating down on me making me overheat. I wear knuckle lights for safety so I can see in front of me and let others know I'm there and I never leave home without my safety vest. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I run early so I give myself an energy boost for the day. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">For some reason it's easy to get sleepy in Winter and drag all morning long. But when I start my day with a run, everything's easier. I''m warmer the rest of the day and I have so much more energy to focus and get stuff done from my to do list not just around the house but at work. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Running in cold/warm temps makes your body adjust to it. </span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">After you regularly run in the heat or the cold, your body is better able to regulate itself after a while so you won't be as bothered by the extreme highs or lows like other people might. This is my key to success. People think I'm crazy for running in the frigid temps but it is not bad for me at all!! </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">I enjoy the peace.</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">The world is more quiet in the winter and that's something I really enjoy. I may have my music on in my earbuds as I run outdoors but I also notice the more quiet scenery around me. Many times I pass deer or owls that are just trying to make their way around when most others aren't awake. I feel so much more grounded and closer to nature when I run in the Winter. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">If you are thinking of running, don't be afraid to start now, even when it's cold out. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "corbel";"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="content"><p>Renovating your bathroom can really pay off when
it comes time to sell your house. Some reports conclude that an upscale
bathroom renovation can increase the sales price of your home 60
percent more than you spend on remodeling. For simpler, less expensive
bathroom remodels, the return on investment is over 70 percent.</p><p>And,
even if you are not planning to sell your home, you can join the 45
percent of homeowners who eventually make their bathrooms more
age-friendly, the 32 percent of homeowners identified by <a href="https://www.houzz.com/pro-learn/blog/the-2022-houzz-bathroom-trends-study" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Houzz</a>
who upgrade the technology in their bathrooms, or the 48 percent of
homeowners who renovate their bathrooms just because they want a
different look.</p><p>Nationally, the average bathroom renovation costs
about $10,000, with some projects costing $35,000 or more. But
homeowners in Corpus Christi can get a new look for a lot less with
these 10 great bathroom renovation ideas.</p><h2>Add a Vanity</h2><p>Most
bathroom renovations include adding a vanity. The most popular color
for bathroom vanities in Corpus Christi is white, but many homeowners
look for vanities in wood tones. Wood and wood laminates are easy to
clean and keep looking great, especially for families with children.</p><h2>Replace Dark Paint with Bright Wallpaper</h2><p>Dark bathroom walls are depressing. Bright wallpaper can beautify your bathroom and give you a more cheerful start to your day.</p><h2>Paint Your Cabinets</h2><p>Another
easy fix for dull bathroom is repainting white or gray bathroom
cabinets in color. This bathroom renovation costs very little but adds a
great deal to the appeal of your bathroom.</p><h2>Install a Touchless Faucet</h2><p>Sometimes
you just don't want to touch the faucet when you wash your hands in the
bathroom. Some faucets can be operated with a tap from your toe, and
sensor faucets come on when you wave your hands beneath the tap.</p><h2>Replace the Commode</h2><p>High-tech commodes still aren't common, but <a href="https://www.houzz.com/pro-learn/blog/the-2022-houzz-bathroom-trends-study" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Houzz</a> tells us that more and more homeowners are going for modern toilet technology:</p><ul><li>24 percent of commodes come with a built-in bidet.</li><li>17 percent of new toilets are self-cleaning.</li><li>15 percent of new commodes are heated.</li><li>13 percent have a night light.</li><li>9 percent have overflow protection.</li><li>9 percent deodorize themselves.</li></ul><h2>Install a Free-Standing Flat-Bottom Tub</h2><p>Freestanding tubs are a popular bathroom renovation option for <a href="https://www.rebath.com/location/corpuschristi/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">bathroom renovation in Corpus Christi</a>.
They are the tub of choice for adults who want the perfect tub for a
relaxing soak. Consider a tub made of cast polymer, which uses natural
stone.</p><p>If you just want a tub for giving the kids a bath, consider a smaller alcove tub.</p><h2>Add a Walk-In Shower</h2><p>A lot of the work of <a href="https://www.rebath.com/location/corpuschristi/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">bathroom remodelers</a>
in Corpus Christi is replacing shower-tub combinations with walk-in
showers. Some more mature homeowners choose them because they are easier
for getting in and out, but families of any age can appreciate the fact
that a walk-in shower gives you more room and a chance to make sure
your design is consistent throughout the bathroom.</p><h2>Replace Wall Art with Wall Treatments</h2><p>Elevate
the feel of your bathroom by removing art you are tired of and cabinets
you don't use and installing a wall treatment to give the whole
bathroom a new look.</p><h2>Replace a Single Sink with a Double Vanity</h2><p>Make it easier for your family to get going in the morning.</p><h2>Make Your Bathroom Feel Cooler</h2><p>Homeowners
in Corpus Christi spend a lot of the year fighting heat and humidity.
Replace retro cream, brown, and pink tones with modern mint and white
shades to make your bathroom feel cooler.</p></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">

Well, the last time I did a post like this it was with my original wolfpack. You can read about them <a href="https://www.askawayblog.com/p/about-ask-away.html">here</a> still, as I'm not yet ready to change that part of my blog. And I ended up losing all of them in a 3 year period. Stella in 2020, Pixie in 2022, and Rocky and Grace in 2023. But during that time I was also adding to my wolfpack to build up a new one. And with 3 out of 4 of them (I just love having 4 for some reason) here now, I figured I should introduce them.

<b>Daisy</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Daisy is 3 years old at the time of this post. Born in 2020, she was a pandemic puppy and the first new dog we introduced after unexpectedly losing Stella. Daisy is actually our alpha now and it worked out perfectly because we lost Pixie, our original alpha, and we needed someone to take control again. She knows all the rules and enforces them. If someone acts up, she scolds them, just like her predecessor Pixie. Daisy is especially smart. She listens to every word we say and understands a lot of it. Even if we are just talking to each other, Daisy picks up on words she knows and can piece together what we are saying and then she reacts to it. She loves to play fetch and stare out the front window, letting us know if anyone walks by. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg04UijFXH6WY5PfFY4dgczDNkHG6XJVO9WgFFJpOLGXjKdaL9rF4yznQfLkCM1M_fRoA36pMIUDjU4MwMwEKjhQi02O784To614gQyuyte4u_r86bpsz3odrvcXJj3UFNiry9IsUXAuXSbm9wIaydHN4c50c3bRdLyNS5G8hyGRC5sL3Novd4Pn7ZYZ88D/s940/layla.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="788" data-original-width="940" height="536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg04UijFXH6WY5PfFY4dgczDNkHG6XJVO9WgFFJpOLGXjKdaL9rF4yznQfLkCM1M_fRoA36pMIUDjU4MwMwEKjhQi02O784To614gQyuyte4u_r86bpsz3odrvcXJj3UFNiry9IsUXAuXSbm9wIaydHN4c50c3bRdLyNS5G8hyGRC5sL3Novd4Pn7ZYZ88D/w640-h536/layla.png" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"><b>Layla</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Layla is our sweet girl. She is 1 1/2 at the time of this post. She is a definite mama's girl and when I leave the house she spends the entire time staring out the window waiting for me to return, which is just what Grace did. Layla is a sensitive girl and is always eager to please. She really loves Daisy and for a while it was the two of them with nothing but senior dogs, so they became very close. Layla and Daisy are the best of friends and enjoy lounging together. Layla likes going on walks and racing around the backyard. <br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXYlFICnZc6VWB-Nmp7jb_G9ewlGhu0wZmiHAtiWIjEC16Kzb4F7I5z6FY0b2Mrc8GWCDpD8trzH15g4RRPgW1SesYD7TyOO4aCuE8Kerc32fqNElx-zbDNXBdqi9_PLK1TO0stnWAc1rTyDJRGts1bLazVt0LGWTeBswrrcZiu7Mxvyf2we1k8Btzga5f/s940/tuco.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="788" data-original-width="940" height="536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXYlFICnZc6VWB-Nmp7jb_G9ewlGhu0wZmiHAtiWIjEC16Kzb4F7I5z6FY0b2Mrc8GWCDpD8trzH15g4RRPgW1SesYD7TyOO4aCuE8Kerc32fqNElx-zbDNXBdqi9_PLK1TO0stnWAc1rTyDJRGts1bLazVt0LGWTeBswrrcZiu7Mxvyf2we1k8Btzga5f/w640-h536/tuco.png" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">
<b>Tuco</b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Tuco is our newest addition. He's 6 months at the time of this post and our only boy. He is a very sweet little guy and he is actually Layla's brother. They came from the same parents, just a different litter. He is a lot like her with his mannerisms. Must be the genetics, of course! Tuco loves snuggling and is very much in love with his older sisters, especially Layla. He is always tagging along wherever she goes. He loves to explore and play with toys. He is just the goodest little boy. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: "corbel"; font-size: large;">Well, I am sure you'll get to know my new wolfpack a lot more over the years so stay tuned. <br /></span></div>
