So how do the disposable bamboo products work? Well they are made from the sheath of a bamboo plant, which is the protective covering found on newly emerging bamboo plants.  The sheath falls to the ground as the plant grows so these sheaths are collected, cleaned, boiled, laminated, and pressed into shape.  It’s 100% biodegradable and can be reused several times as long as you hand wash with soap in hot water and immediately hand dry.

And how do the reusable bambooware products work?  Well they are eco-friendly, biodegradable, and durable thanks to a process that takes fibers of bamboo plants 5 years or older and grinding it into a powder.  The powder then gets molded into bowls, plates, and trays that are FDA approved food safe and can withstand a dishwasher washing!  

And yes, there are utensils…. Knives, spoons, and forks to be exact.  They are reusable and can be cleaned with soap and hot water and towel dried immediately. 

Bamboo overall is a great alternative to paper products.  It consumes less electricity to make and it’s also better than Styrofoam because it’s biodegradable

I received several items from Bamboo Studio.  A plate, a bowl, and a wine plate.  It was amazing how sturdy and durable the bowl and plate were, despite me constantly jabbing them with my spoon and fork.  The tray was great when I was bringing snack food up to my bedroom and I absolutely love how well these cleaned up with soap and water and a nice easy towel dry, just as the website says.   These really are great products and I feel muchbetter using them than I did with paper or Styrofoam products.  Plus, it’s less work for me with tons of dishes in the dishwasher, since I can easily clean these dinnerware items after each use.
