So Mother's Day was amazing weather and I wanted to celebrate it by wearing an adorable dress.   I took my mom out for brunch and it was so fun!   I decided to wear this Criss Cross Dress from Haley and the Hound.

This dress is soooo light and airy that it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing a dress! I love the pattern on it as well and the colors are very flattering.

But you should definitely check out Haley and the Hound.  They have some beautiful pieces and all very reasonably priced.  The styles and selection are great!

How did you celebrate Mother's Day?

No, you read that correctly... you're not crazy.   I am wearing Joga pants.... aka a fabulous cross between yoga pants and jeans!!

The Aiko Joga High Skinnies are from Silver Jeans and are so so incredibly comfortable and they still look stylish just like a regular pair of denim jeans.  They are made from a durable fabric with a unique double-faced stretch weave.  The top is woven just like traditional denim but underneath is a plush knit.  Finally, a combination that isn't too baggy or too tight! The Aiko fit is crafted to flatter a defined curve so these are perfect for my body type!

I absolutely love this top.  It's the Animal/Floral Print Top from 9th & Elm.  It's perfect for early Fall because of the sleeve length.  9th & Elm is a website that has clothing from handmade and independent designers.  I love the styles and prints available and everything is reasonably priced.
I seriously could take a nap in these!

So What I Wore:
Wedges- Just Fab; Animal/Floral Print Top - 9th & Elm; Aiko Joga High Skinnies -Silver Jeans .

Sometimes you just have to keep it simple and relaxed which is exactly what I did for this outfit.  A plain white tee, comfy jeans, cute shoes, wavy hair, and no makeup!

This is the Modbod Basic Cap Sleeve in White. It's so comfortable and lightweight. I love the fit!!!   I don't really like fitting white shirts normally because they kind of let all the imperfections on my waistline show but I was impressed and fully embraced this top!

See that neck candy?  I'm a sucker for crystals!!! These are from Crystal Age and I'm going to tell you what they both mean and why I wear them.
This is a Natural Unpolished Silver Quartz Pendant and it's great for meditation and spiritual growth.  It's believed to absorb and amplify psychic power and really helps direct and focus your energy.  I like this because I feel like it keeps my focused and grounded.

This is the Tiger Eye and Silver Double Terminating Point Pendant from Crystal Age.  It's said to give you courage and strength just like a tiger.  It's also believed to benefit the digestive system and give you confidence in any situation.  I need all the confidence I can get these days so I love wearing this!

What I Wear to Run + A Giveaway

Friday, July 25, 2014

This site has affiliate links and sponsored content. Read my Disclosure Policy.

In order to keep running on a regular basis, you have to make sure you enjoy your running outfits or else you'll just feel "blah."  So I decided to dedicate today's outfit of the day post to what I wear when I go on a run.

Let's start from the bottom up!   It's important to run in comfort so I make sure that I wear compression socks.

These neon yellow and pink swirl from Pro Compression are not only stylish but they really help improve blood flow so it makes my legs less tired and they recover more quickly.  Marathon compression socks actually support muscles and tendons to help reduce swelling, soreness, and inflammation.  I love that these never got slippery even hours after my run.  They didn't make me sweat, in fact they wicked away the moisture and they are so lightweight they didn't affect how my sneakers fit!

Speaking of sneakers....I got these gems from Reebok.  They are the Women's Pheehan Running Shoe.   Honestly, these were as light as air and I didn't even have to worry about breaking them in.   They actually helped cut down on my running time and after 3 miles, they didn't squeeze my fit at all!
I really love the style and colors too.  For the price ($60) they are very much worth it! I also found the low cut design to be very comfortable.

The other cool thing about the compression socks is that you can sign up for a Sock of the Month club at the bottom of the Pro Compression Home Page and you'll get great deals and new product announcements in your email!

And my shirt was super comfortable.  It's from Janji and it's so soft and lightweight!

It's just a simple short sleeve shirt and each one of these shirts gives 8 meals to a family in need in the Greater Boston area!!  How cool is that!!!   I love the stylish V-neck and the fitted look.   This shirt does a great job of wicking away sweat and it even has a reflective logo for added visibility.   Although I normally run in tank tops, this shirt was just the same!

So What I Wore:
Marathon Socks - Pro Compression; Shirt - Janji; Pants - MPG; Women's Pheehan Running Shoes - Reebok.

And guess what! Not only do I have a coupon code for you to get your own Pro Compression gear AND a coupon code for Janji but I also have a giveaway.

For Janji you can get 20% off using code ASKAWAY.

You can use code BLG14 here  to get 40% off Marathon Socks & Sleeves and get FREE shipping (US ONLY).

And for the giveaway..one winner will get a pair of compression socks!!

So one of the things I love about summer is that I can just dress casual and comfortable to stay cool but I can still take advantage of fun slip on shoes and cute graphic tees.  This outfit clearly reflects that.

Those shoes? Aren't they cute?! They are La Plage Espadrilles from Quel Objet.  They are so comfortable.  These canvas shoes with rope trim are so easy to slip on and off and are great for everyday wear.  I love that they came in an adorable fabric bag.  The other great thing about these is that after about an hour of wear they begin molding to your feet so they get even more comfortable.

Quel Objet's espadrilles are made by hand in a village in the Pyrenees, in French Basque country.   I love the gorgeous craftsmanship and the beautiful vibrant colors.  There are so many different patterns and colors to choose from, you are bound to find a pair you absolutely love!

I am so glad I found a great pair of comfy shoes that I can not only wear around the house but also to the office and to casual outdoor events!
