When it comes to sitting and relaxing in the comfort of your own home, you’ll surely want to maximize every single facet. Sure, we should probably all be content with the fact that we have a roof over our heads and four walls of privacy around us, but there’s nothing wrong with wanting things to be just right. Thankfully, there are hundreds of services based in your area that can help you with whatever you want and need when it comes to domestic life, and they’ll be just a phone call or an email away.

The question then is, what exactly is out there? You’ll probably need to take a look around your home and figure out what needs to be fixed. Yes, there will be things that you’re fully aware of, but what about certain parts of your home and are flying under the radar a little? Well, you’ll probably end up doing a little research and listing what needs to be sorted, but until then, here are five services that will absolutely improve the way you feel in your home:

Gardeners

Everyone likes to have a clean and tidy yard. It’s a part of the home that needs to be in good stead as one of its main purposes is to allow the inhabitant to feel blissful and relaxed on a lovely day. If your garden is a mess and in dire need of fixing, then it can be quite the burden – especially if you’re not exactly the hands-on type of person. A garden can come in and straighten things up for a fee!

Pest Control

Nobody likes having little creepy crawlies running around in the house. Sure, there are times where we can’t help it, but when there are dozens, that’s when you need to do something about it. A pest control service or something just a helpful should be something you keep your eye on – especially when you’ve just moved in – as you never know what might be hiding in the corners.

Cavity Insulation

During the winter, it’s not nice at all feeling the cold seeping into your home. If you have the money to do so, you can just put the central heating on, but not everyone is afforded that luxury at the moment. Cavity wall insulation literally fills up the cracks and stops the cold air from making its way into your home. It’s such a good, long-term idea.

Window Cleaning

Windows are a pretty important part of the house, and it is noticeable when they aren’t looking so good. Doing the insides of them is fine, but the outsides are a little tedious, aren’t they? That’s where a professional window cleaning service can help out. They’ll take around ten minutes and, voila, they’re done. No effort on your part other than handing over the money. It’s such a helpful little service.

An Overall Handyman

You’re going to have little annoyances around the house for as long as you occupy it, unfortunately. That’s why it’s good to keep a handy person on your phone that can figure out most domestic issues quickly. There’s nothing worse than having to alter your plan or routine because something tedious has come up at home.

How to Create a Daily/Weekly/Monthly Routine

Wednesday, August 19, 2020

We all know that I'm a very organized person and I'm truly a creature of habit and routine.  So when people ask me to help them create a routine whether it's daily, weekly, or monthly, I have a process I use for myself when I first started to get on a routine.  Today, I'm going to share that with you.

Why Is Your Face So Prone To Breakouts?

For a lot of people, problems with acne, spots, and breakouts on their face might all be left behind when they leave their teenage years behind. Some of us are not so fortunate, however. Instead of resigning yourself to having to occasionally hide your face or deal with breakouts, it’s worth looking at and solving the issues that might cause it.

Dead skin cells are stuck there

Acne most commonly happens when our pores get clogged. This can happen in a lot of ways, but one of the most common is that dry and dead skin cells aren’t effectively removed from the face, meaning that they get stuck there. If you experience this a lot, then relying on regular microdermabrasion might help. Not only will this clear away all the dead skin but it can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, too.

Your face produces a lot of oil

Aside from dead skin, oil is going to be the biggest contributor to blocked pores leading to acne. Some people simply have oily skin, meaning they need products to address it. A good men's face scrub, for instance, will gently remove excess oils without stripping it from the face entirely (which can make it irritable and inflamed.) Furthermore, you want to rely mostly on natural ingredients that aren’t likely to leave the skin feeling sensitive.

You have something of a hormone imbalance

One of the reasons that breakouts are so common in our teenage years is that our hormones are all out of whack. In particular, we produce a lot more androgens, which make our skin produce more oils, which leads to clogged pores. Both low and high levels of androgens can lead to acne, often caused by things like birth control medication. It’s worth talking to your doctor about any potential hormonal imbalances. Usually, they can simply be addressed with medication.

Your lifestyle could be improved

It’s a bit of a myth that greasy food leads to acne. However, that’s not to say that it’s entirely divorced from your diet. However, it’s carb-rich food and certain other foods, such as chocolate, that have been linked to acne. Furthermore, stress has long been known to make acne worse, though the direct relationship between the two isn’t fully understood. As such, improving your diet and finding the means to get some relief from your stress can also help you fight acne.

You have an undiagnosed skin condition

Other skin issues such as psoriasis and eczema can lead to a host of skin conditions, such as contributing to breakouts of acne. As such, you should make sure that a visit to a dermatologist is part of your approach as they might be able to recommend something more specific for treating what skin condition might be affecting you.

There are quite a lot of issues that can lead to facial breakouts. The above are the most common examples but if you can’t pinpoint the source then it’s best to get in contact with your dermatologist and get the expert opinion.

My Top 5 Everyday Looks

I don't honestly go many places in a given week.  I maybe run a couple errands and meet up with my friends but other than that I'm at work and when I come home I switch into yoga pants and a tank top.  But I still like to dress up somewhat....as in making myself presentable enough to be seen in public. So I decided to share my top 5 everyday looks.
