Budget Friendly Fall Décor Ideas

Fall is an exciting time of year for so many people not just because of Halloween coming up but overall it’s cool and enjoyable weather that we all look forward to plus the sights and smells of leaves changing and fall blooms. Because of all that, people tend to go overboard for decorating this time of year so I put together some ideas that are budget-friendly. Use real instead of faux items.

Use pinecones, leaves, pumpkins, gourds, and actual fall blooms like mums as décor. You can simply collect these from your yard or if you plant mums around your yard, you can split them and put them in pots and display them on your front porch. You won’t have to worry about storing these in the off season because you can toss things like leaves and pinecones back outside when you’re done!

Add cozy touches inside.

Instead of adding tacky décor items, simply make your home more cozy inside for Fall by adding throw blankets to your couches. You can also switch out patterns on pillows, blankets, and linens with more cool weather patterns to embrace the season.

Handcraft your decorations.

If you have cardstock sitting around in Fall colors you can cut strips and make paper chains to hang around your house for free. You can also get really creative and use white paint on black trash bags of leaves to paint skeleton faces or black cat faces and lay them around your yard. If you have vases you can fill them with outdoor items like leaves and pinecones and use them as tabletop décor.

Keep it minimal.

You don’t have to go all out. A wreath that is fall themed is sometimes enough. Or even using a more fall themed doormat. Sometimes the enjoyment of the season comes from the activities you do and less from how decorated your home is.
