Meet the beautiful, classy, and versatile 2014 Mazda CX-9. When this shiny blue SUV showed up I was already impressed.

On the outside the CX-9 has 20-inch Aluminum Alloy wheels, a power open/close lift gate, and heated power mirrors. Modern and sleek, the front end grins with Xenon headlights, fog lights, and LED daytime running lights.

With the size of an SUV, it's still got a more compact look, almost as if the 2014 Mazda CX-9 is crouching down to stay out of the way!

Inside the 2014 Mazda CX-9 there's 7 passenger seating, that's right..7! Plenty of space for a road trip with friends, a family vacation, or just everyday use for a big family that likes to stay on the go. Storage wise, the 3rd row seats fold down and so do the 2nd row. Plenty of space left for hauling a Christmas tree, furniture, moving boxes, and luggage! There's also a Climate Control Command Center for the passengers in the 2nd row, and both rows fold down easy. The second row even slides forward with such ease, no more frustrating grunts as you break nails trying to get the seats to slide so you can let the kids in!

Getting into more specifics, the 2014 Mazda CX-9 has some other great details inside that offer space, convenience, and comfort. There's power front and rear windows of course as well as power lumbar with 3 position memory so you can drive in comvfort and luxury. Also, the front seats are heated which is fantastic in the winter. The mirror is auto-dimming and there's a 3 zone climate control in the 2014 Mazda CX-9.

This SUV is great when it comes to technology.... with a USB audio input, bluetooth capabilities, 6 speakers to enjoy your favorite music, and a 5.8" color display. There's also a rear camera so you don't have to crane your neck when parking and of course there is keyless entry and a start up system that just needs a knob turned. Keep your keys in your purse ladies!

So what's under the hood? Plenty of power and a 3.2 Liter V6 DOHC 24-valve Engine. For handling, there is independent front Macpherson struts with rear multi-link suspension. Can I also tell you how cool the 6 speed sport feature is! And the active torque AWD split AWD! That's right, you don't have to worry about bad weather because you will grip the road and endure the conditions.

And of course...the safety features. Well, let's see where to start... how about ABS with Brake Assist and blind spot monitoring system so you have an extra set of eyes to look out for you. There are 3-row side air curtains with roll-over protection which is essential for SUVs. There's also rear cross-traffic alerts and roll stability control as well as a Traction Control System. For added safety of course there are dual front and side impact air bags as well as side-impact door beams. The front and rear have crumple zones and this vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft engine immobilizer and an anti-theft alarm. The 2014 Mazda CX-9 comes with a 36 month/36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as a 60 month/ 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Behind the Wheel of the 2014 Mazda6

I had a fun week with the 2014 Mazda6 and I fell in love with the driving experience as well as the interior features and safety features.

The sound system is so enjoyable and the easy to control climate buttons were great for chilly mornings, hot afternoon sun, and whatever else I needed.   It feels so luxurious in the drivers seat.    The Mazda6 also was great with braking, especially when it was necessary to prevent an accident!   Honestly, it was so natural and comfortable I felt like I had been driving it for years when I first drove it.

Working in the city, I deal with a lot of stop and go traffic and I loved that the Mazda6 stopped short when necessary, and maneuvered quickly during lane switches.  It really has such a smooth ride even when it just comes to a curvy street and whenever I was on rough roads, I could barely tell.   It's so quiet inside and really absorbs the shock of the bumps before it even gets to the driver!    I am still UBER impressed with the fuel economy.  I have to say, my car is already good on gas, but the 2014 Mazda6 is insanely efficient with fuel!

I really love how spacious it is inside and how great it is for transporting other people, or just your groceries! It was so easy to park even in the most narrow of spots, and between the blind spot alerts, the back up cam, and the regular windows, I had no problem changing lanes, merging onto highways, or backing out of small parking spots.

This car is great, I truly recommend it to anyone that loves luxury mixed with sportiness, safety, and reliability!    2 thumbs up for Mazda!

Cars, Mazda, , mazda6, drive experiences, Drive STI,

Aside from the convenient and stylish features of the 2014 Mazda6, there are plenty of safety features that make the car a great choice.   24 hour roadside assistance is a must and the blue tooth hands free phone is great for driving and not getting distracted.  There is an anti-theft engine immobilizer as well as a blind spot monitoring system.   For city drivers, like myself, the Smart City Brake Support will help you stop ON A DIME when you can, in order to not crash into the person in front of you. She seriously was a doll in the rain this week. In fact, I made it through those enormous puddles NO PROBLEM, didn't even feel like I lost control of the car at all. Plus, the traction...great!!!!!

Traction control is fantastic in this car, and it really makes me feel safer no matter what the driving conditions are like.  The 2014 Mazda6 has dual front airbags, front side-impact air bags, and front and rear side air curtains.

Oh, and did I mention that it has SKYACTIV technology which increases fuel efficiency and engine output.

So really, whether you have kids, pets, or just yourself... you can get a smooth, easy, and safe ride in this car.   And check back next week when I give you all the details on how it was behind the wheel of the 2014 Mazda6!

An Upclose Look at the 2014 Mazda6

She's here! The 2014 Mazda6 in Blue Reflex was at my house at the beginning of this week.   So here's an upclose look at some of the details and features.

I'm already loving the halogen fog lights, LED combination taillights, power moonroof, rear lip spoiler, and adaptive front lighting system!  This is a bigger sized car compared to others I've driven in the past, but I still like that it's got a sleek smooth style.

As you can already see, it has a nice sporty sleek look.   19 inch alloy wheels give a shiny spark to this already gorgeous car.  There's dual exhaust, rain sensing windshield wipers, side mirrors that are power AND heated, and adjustable seating for the driver.  This vehicle comes with Skyactiv technology.

Inside, you'll find comfortable rear seating in black leather trim.   There are also paddle shifters, a rearview camera, 4 way power passenger seat, cruise control, power door and window locks, keyless entry, climate control with rear seat vents, and amazing radio speakers!

The interior is very spacious and I love the huge moonroof.   The controls are pretty easy to figure out and everything is laid out for maximum convenience.

Most convenient of all is the knob located near the center console, where you can easily keep your eye on the road, but still adjust the audio or Navigation!

The navigation system itself is conveniently located and very easy to operate.   All of the up front controls are pretty basic in their own way, but I love that there are endless options for everything, whether it's seat warmers, satellite radio tuning, or connecting your phone to Bluetooth.

Inside and out this vehicle is amazing and has a nice sleek sporty look and feel.   Check back later this week when I go over the engine and safety features and next week I'll let you know how this thing drives!!!
