So my birthday was August 13th and I made myself a cake...well 2 actually.

My Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake was delicious and my Pastry Blender from World Kitchen helped me mix some extra chocolate chips and vanilla extract into it!

Then this beautiful baby!  I made a Funfetti Cake with Funfetti Icing for my actual birthday celebration with my family.   I loved using my Wooden Spatula and Nylon Whisk from World Kitchen!

The end result...was DELICIOUS!

I love baking! It's so easy and relaxing for me! It probably isn't good for my waistline but it's something I actually enjoy doing.   I love the different baking accessories, utensils, and tools that help make it so much more simple!

World Kitchen has so many more great products so be sure to stock up!

Grinch Crinkle Cookies [Recipe]

Sunday, December 7, 2014

I'm so excited because today I'm debuting my very first ever recipe post on Ask Away!!  It's for my favorite kind of Christmas cookie ever!  They are called Grinch Crinkle Cookies and I pretty much have my own little way of doing things, so this is kind of an Ask Away original recipe!

What you'll need:

1 Box of Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake Mix
1 Bottle of Green Food Coloring
6 Tbsp of Butter
1 Cup of Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Cornstarch
2 Eggs

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.

STEP 1//
Melt your butter and set it aside so it cools down.

STEP 2//
Using a fork, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar with 1 1/2 teaspoons of cornstarch.  Do this in a bowl that's more shallow since you will be rolling your cookies in it.

STEP 3//
Combine the cake mix, 2 eggs, cooled butter, and add 50 drops of green food coloring.  Stir until thoroughly mixed and everything is green.

STEP 4//
Use 2 spoons and grab a ball of green cookie dough and drop it in powdered sugar.

STEP 5//
Use your spoons to roll the dough ball around in the powdered sugar mix until completely covered.

STEP 6//
Drop your cookie dough balls onto parchment paper on a cookie pan.

STEP 7//
Place in Oven for 8-10 minutes.

STEP 8//
Take your cookies out of the oven, even if they look "wet", and place them on a cooling rack.

ENJOY!!!    This recipe generally makes around 30-35 cookies.
