So listen, I know it's a weird topic but I am very serious when it comes to taking care of my feet.  The reason I'm dedicating an entire post to feet is because your feet are SO IMPORTANT.   You use them ALL THE TIME except when you sleep.  They help you balance and get places and in order to return the favor we need to take better care of them.  

When I was just 21 years old I was suffering from plantar fasciitis which came from wearing flip flops ALL THE TIME with no support.  Then when I slept I tensed and curled my feet up and it made the fascia tight.  It took a few doctor's appoinments, some anti-inflammatory medicine, and lots of stretching and foot massages till I was doing much better and now I stay on top of my foot health.   I'm telling you guys if you don't take care of your feet you will regret it.  This means you have to get good quality footwear that has proper arch support and doesn't pinch or cut your feet open.  

But taking care of your feet doesn't end with what's underneath your socks.  Love your feet and show them off with beautiful shoes and amazing products that pamper your feet.  So yes, today's post is all about feet and what I do to pamper my own feet especially going into a new year! Ah the elements can be a terror when you live in a region that gets lots of rain and has snowy/icy winters.  The salt alone can destroy your gorgeous new boots so it's important to protect your shoes.

So it's no surprise that by the time I get home my feet don't smell like flowers and my shoes aren't so pleasant either.

Yes, You Can Shower in Flip Flops

That's right, whether it's because you are someone afraid of germs in the shower, or because you just like to wear flip flops a lot, Showaflops will blow your mind!

How I Pamper My Feet

I am the queen of foot pain.  I used to have Plantar Fasciitis but thanks to proper management I am able to prevent it from coming back. That being said, there are several things I do on a very regular basis to take care of my feet.

1 | I wear proper arch support.
You will never catch me wearing flip flops or super flat flats. Nope, all of my shoes have to have proper support for my arches.  

2 | I stretch regularly.
I am always stretching my legs and calves so that the muscles say lengthened. 


3 | I massage my own feet.
It's not the same as having someone else do it, but it definitely helps rejuvenate my feet at the end of rough day.  I just use a lotion and go in a gentle motion up and down my feet. 

4 | I use Sole Serum.
When I do wear pumps or heels and my feet start to ache, I have a wonderful secret weapon - Sole Serum.  Whenever I feel my feet starting to hurt I just apply 2-3 pumps per foot, give it a minute to dry, then I continue on with my day.  It really takes the pain away and it's so convenient and discreet to use. It is light so I just tote it around in my handbag!

5 | I get regular pedicures.
Nothing beats having someone else make your feet beautiful and colorful so I indulge in a pedicure every month!

It's no surprise by now that I love dressing in casual attire especially when I get dress it up just a bit.  I just love being comfortable and I shouldn't have to sacrifice that just to look good so I try to get the best of both worlds.

It really looked great with some embellished torn up jeans from Silver Jeans. 

And of course I had to add a pair of wedge heels, Sea Breeze Wedges from Nomad Footwear to be exact!

These 3 inch wedges are so comfortable and casual but they really helped to dress this look up a bit. 

I am so glad I have a neutral color with these because they go with SO MUCH!
