Take a Nature Walk or Hike
You can take in the beautiful colors and the smells of Fall without breaking the bank because most hiking spots are free. Download the All Trails app to find the best places near you.
Make a Leaf Collage
Collect colorful leaves from your yard and glue them to poster board or a canvas. If you are already artsy, you can paint over them and add glitter.
Pick Your Own Produce
Look up the local orchards in your area and harvest your own pumpkins, gourds, and apples. It's actually a lot cheaper than buying them in the store, you get to actually pick the specific ones you want, and they're grown with a lot of love by local farmes in YOUR area!
Paint Pumpkins
Carving can get super messy so save time and energy by getting some cheap paints at a dollar store, put some newspaper down, and have a blast!
Camp in Your Own Backyard
If you own a tent already, you're already one big step ahead and can just pitch it in your backyard so you and your kids and enjoy a starry night. If you don't have a tent but have a secure screened in porch you can still make that into a fort-filled fun spot for the kids to sleep. It's cheaper than paying money to rent a campsite and a lot less effort.
What do you have plan for Fall this year?
