Noxicare Pain Relief Gel Review

Monday, December 30, 2013

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

My mom is always complaining about neuropathy and arthritis in her hands and fingers. It's to the point where she can hardly keep up with everyday house work, let alone find the time for things that she once loved like cooking and crafts. So when I told her to try Noxicare she figured the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work. Noxicare is an all natural pain relief gel with a formula made from 7 of the world's most potent natural pain relieves. Noxicare quickly and effectively alleviates inflammation, muscle aches, and nerve pain with no side effects! The ingredients are:

1.Turmeric Extract: one of the powerful healers found in nature, recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties.
2.Willow Bark Extract: has been used to treat pain and inflammation since the time of Ancient Egypt and Greece.
3.Ginger Extract: helps alleviate muscle strains, arthritis and rheumatism, and is a catalyst for improving the effectiveness of other herbs.
4.Holy Basil Extract: properties include anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and antiviral.
5.Rosemary Extract: has served a variety of purposes including topical use for joint or musculoskeletal pain.
6.Alpha Lipoic Acids: antioxidants used to treating diabetic neuropathy and increasing blood flow to the nerves.
7.Boswellia Extract: an anti-inflammatory used to treat arthritis and joint pain.

Noxicare combines all those ingredients allowing each one to effecively alleviate a specific type of pain on its own. Each ingredient acts as a catalyst to the others so they boost each others effectiveness.

Noxicare is different than what's out there because instead of treating the pain by numbing it, it actually targets the source of the pain with a natural formula. It kind of kicks the body into gear with it's own healing process. It helps relax muscles and reduce inflammation to alleviate pain, all while working to increase blood flow to calm painful nerve endings.

Noxicare was developed by Dr. Reza Ghorbani as a first line pain management tool. It's available as a topical cream or as capsules. It's great for:

Acute and Chronic Inflammation
Muscle Aches
Nerve Pain from Carpal Tunnel , etc. Neuropathy and plenty more!

My mom was so happy when she used Noxicare. It calmed her painful nerve endings from her neuropathy and she was able to clean and use her hands without any stress the rest of the day. She was so impressed by how quickly it soaked in and that it didn't leave a residue behind.

Check out Noxicare on Facebook to keep up with the latest news, as well as follow Dr. Ghorbani on Twitter!

Paul Walker & Roger Rodas Memorial Cruise & Dyno Day for Reach Out World Wide

So this weekend was great for both car enthusiasts as well as Paul Walker fans.  Most people who enjoy the car scene can say they enjoyed watching the different Fast and Furious movies over the years.   Paul Walker's love of cars both on and off screen wasn't his only passion in life.

Walker started his own charity, Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW)  after being part of a relief team that responded to the Haiti earthquakes aftermath in 2010.  He noticed a gap between the availability of resources and the personnel requirements in post-disaster situations.

After his volunteer trip, he and a group of his friends formed ROWW.  ROWW is a network of professionals with first responder skills (heavy equipment operation, EMT, paramedic, firefighting, healthcare, logistics, and project management to name a few) that can provide their expertise when disasters strike.

In an effort to accelerate relief efforts on a worldwide basis, ROWW operates on the philosophy that by making a difference in just one person's life, the world has been changed for the better.

After news of Paul's passing, car groups, clubs, and enthusiasts all over the country began to organize meets in his memory.   And locally, a growing Central Pennsylvania  car community known as Boosted Beauties did the same, but took it one step further by teaming up with a local tuning shop, InnovativeMotorWorks to offer discounted dyno pulls with all proceeds from the entire event going to Paul's Charity.

Boosted Beauties began in 2012 in an effort to give car enthusiasts a place to chat, connect with each other, and purchase quality car parts from over 150 brands.  Chad Anderson, the man behind the group is always eager to raise money for charity with Boosted Beauties events.   This time was NO different.

The event began in a mall parking lot in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.   After everyone assembled, the cruise to InnovativeMotorWorks in Carlisle took place.  It was so nice to see MOST peoples being respectful and still staying out of the way of regular traffic.

Here's my friend Vince's Supra!

There were some awesome cars at the meet, but what was really amazing is the turnout of people to show their support of Paul's cause.   Around 400 people showed up throughout the day, whether it was to look at cars, get some pulls in on the Dyno, or just grab a bite to eat and chat with other car enthusiasts.

Boosted Beauties was able to raise $2,031 for Reach Out Worldwide!   It was a fun day for a good cause and I look forward to the next Boosted Beauties event.

How My Rescue Chihuahua Rocky Rescued ME & the Bracelet that Represents That

I can honestly say that my "rescue" chihuahua Rocky has had a huge impact in my life ever since the day I found him. Long story short, he was owned by an elderly couple and they had several dogs. They were beginning to consider finding new homes for their dogs as their health was deteriorating but before they could do that, Rocky escaped from their house (he's a quick little bugger) and was exploring the neighborhood like usual. It was then that he stumbled into my parents' backyard and my mom called me to tell me they found a tiny dog and had no idea whom he belonged too. After a weekend of keeping Rocky with me and making sure he was warm and well-fed, I received a text from my mom telling me that she had located his owners but still had good news. They explained their hardships with their health and then once she showed them a photo of me with my other 3 chihuahuas, the man exclaimed that he believed in fate and the fact that Rocky stumbled into the yard of a chihuahua lover wasn't just coincidence. My mom had told him that I was falling in love with Rocky and I would be willing to keep him if they were willing to re-home him with me. The answer was yes.

It took a few weeks for me to warm up to having a male dog and getting over the misconception that they pee everywhere and hump everything. Rocky was in love with me and was sooo grateful, more so than my girls. The only life they've ever known is to be super spoiled, sleeping in my bed, and being cuddled every night. Rocky on the other hand had been used to sleeping in a dog pen with the other dogs and probably wasn't handled as much as my girls were. It was as if he KNEW what he had. I often see him staring at me, smiling with loving eyes. And he came in to my life at a crucial time when I was having some major issues with the men in my life and needed a little guardian. It's amazing how loyal he is to me, he doesn't leave my side, and he has no other intention except to get love. I mean, he isn't even tempted away from me with food!

I'm not alone when it comes to having a special little furry man in my life, because it's the same concept that inspired Angel to start Sunny Side Design. Angel was a busy mom of three with an already hectic life so the decision to adopt a dog was overwhelming to her at first. Her oldest daughter finally convinced her that it would be worth it and after several months of searching, they found Cooper through a rescue agency.

Angel is in love with Cooper and can't imagine life without him, nor can the rest of her family. Of course there are typical snafus like eating shoes, getting on the furniture, and speeding around the house for no apparent reason, he's considered a blessing in their home! The question "who rescued who" was the thought that motivated Angel to create the Rescue Me Jewelry Line. And a portion of each sale is donated back to animal rescue organizations! Sunny Side Design offers hand stamped charm necklaces and bracelets that can be personalized with your pet's name!

I received a gorgeous bracelet from Sunny Side Design. It has a little dog tag that reads "Rescued by Rocky" and includes a couple little charms like a heart, a paw print, and a dog!   It means so much to me and is  a great symbol of my bond with Rocky.   It's super fun to explain the story behind it!

If you or someone you know can relate, then go ahead and share the story with a charitable purchase of a Rescue Me piece of jewelry!

SinfulColors Holiday Collection Glitter and Tinsel

Saturday, December 28, 2013

SinfulColors has done it again with their tinsel and glitter collection. Infused with sparkles, tinsel, and glitter these are available at Walgreens for $1.99.  Their tinsel nail polish is stunning and perfect for this time of year, while their Sheer Lustre Glitter Topcoat collection is ideal for finishing off any plain manicure!

I used the Glittery in Pink and Girls Best Friend on my fingers and toes from the Topcoat collection.  I was amazed at how quickly it dried and how gorgeous the glitter was!

The Silver Rainbows and Gold Tinsel was so cool!!   This is what I wore for the holidays and I was in love with the tinsel.  There are literally tiny pieces of tinsel inside.  They still stick perfectly and don't flake off your nails, so I definitely am impressed at the high quality of this polish!

Once again, I am pleased to add SinfulColors to my nail polish collection!

5 Ways to Beat the Post-Holiday Blues (READ THIS BEFORE IT HITS!)

Monday, December 23, 2013

It’s a familiar scenario: Christmas Day comes to an end and all of your guests leave. The dishes are in the dish washer, the new presents need to be put away, and the wrapping paper must be picked up. None of that bothers you, but what DOES is that empty stomach feeling that you’re left with…which I like to refer to as the post-holiday blues.

It’s only natural after spending weeks (sometimes even months) shopping, decorating, planning, cleaning, organizing, wrapping, partying, and preparing for what ends up being 12 or so hours of chaos and joy all in one day!

I HATE the post-holiday blues, they really bum me out and over the years I’ve finally found ways to not get affected by them anymore! So here are 5 things that I do that help me beat the blues.

1.Make a list of projects for the next few weeks/months.
I make lists of things that need purged (closets and drawers), organized (papers and drawers), and cleaned (every crevice of the house!). Doing this gives me a productive mind set plus I’m left with plenty of things to do during the snowy cold days of winter. Plus, the whole “checking off the list” concept is like a little mini challenge with myself.

2.Undecorate within a week.
I know, you spent all that time putting everything up, but if you made the most of it before Christmas then it’s okay to take it down now. I usually leave my lights up but I take my tree and everything else down so that I can prepare to move forward in the new year. I also take the time to scratch a few things off my to do like cleaning in the areas where decorations had been.

3.Winterize your home.
This is also a great time to prep your house for winter weather. I always make sure I have salt, get my rainboots out and put them in the entry way closet, and make sure my gloves and hats are out of storage and ready to wear!

4.Winterize your car.
Take this time to vacuum and clean out your car as well as fill your windshield wiper fluid up, and make sure you have an ice scraper and snow brush available and somewhere handy for the Winter. This is also a good time to make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicle. Mine includes a flashlight, blanket, jumper cables, matches, and lighter, a map, and extra gloves.

5.Pamper yourself.
Rather than jumping right back into the swing of your busy life and hectic work schedule, try taking some time to pamper yourself with a massage, a DIY manicure and pedicure, a face mask, or even practicing yoga.

What do YOU do to beat the holiday blues? And most importantly…does it work?
