On Friday, I posted on Twitter and Facebook asking you all how you go about organizing the clothing in your closet.  I got all types of responses including:
- Sleeve length
-Color
-Type

And that's where my problem was.  I had them organized somewhat but it wasn't working out.  I thought that organizing by sleeve length was okay but It was hard to see what I had in each section.  So I decided to change it to:
- Type
-Color
-Sleeve length

As you can see above, there really was no order.  It looked very uneven and junky.   So here it is afterwards


So I started with my work clothes and put them in sections of what kind (blouse, sweater, etc.)
Then I went on to tank tops and party wear and made sure they were organized by color.

What I ended up with was:
Work Clothes
Tank Tops
Button Up jackets
Zip up Jackets
Outerwear Jackets
Loungewear tops
Short Sleeve Tops
Half Sleeve Tops
Long Sleeve Tops

Each section is separate by a little gap of space so it's easier for me to see where it begins or ends.  I hope to be able to organize the hangers I use because that may make it even easier!!  Within each section, I organized by color and then within color, I did it by sleevelength.

Whenever I have an idea of what I want to wear, it's generally one of these few outfit choices
-Jeans and a regular top
-Jeans and a summer top with something over it
- leggings and a long dressy top

So this way I know what kind of top I'm looking for, and then it's easy for me to organize by color because I usually try to match up my pants to whatever top I'm wearing.

I love PXsupply.com! They have a great selection of army and navy supplies like clothing and footwear.  I especially love their men's selection, as my boyfriend was in the Air Force so I know I could find stuff on here that he would love!!  He actually received Air Force Fleece Shorts which he loves and wears all the time!!

They are very comofortable and they look great and go with so many shirts! LeashLocket Review

The LeashLocket is not your typical retractable leash.  You see, with most retractable leashes, you hold on to them, but with LeashLocket, your dog actually gets to hold on to the leash.   It's a leash in a locket that dogs can carry along with their collar or harness.  So if you walk your dog to the park, then you want to let him run around, and then you want to get control of him real quick, you can simply just grab the leash and head on out.

Week One of Daily Workouts

Today marks one week from when I started my new workout routine.  It goes as follows:
Work out everyday except Friday!!!
And man am I tired.  Not only is my body exhausted, but my mind is gone!

Here's what I did over the past 7 days:

I must say I am seeing great results. Up to this point I have been working out maybe 3-4 times a week but now I am making it a priority to do it everyday.

I have done Buns & Thighs for a total of 3 times and honestly, my legs are tighter, stronger, and they don't rub together as much, and yes you know exactly what I mean by that!! Unfortunately I had some major knee problems, just as others had with the Buns & Thighs so I modified it to skip two moves that caused the pain for days afterwards.

I have more energy physically when it comes to getting things done.  It's great. 

I have a better appetite and am not hungry 24/7.  I have been watching what I eat so much and I track everything with My Fitness Pal.  I am currently eating about 1,200 calories a day, after my exercise, etc.     Also... I lost 2 pounds!! 

My reward of cheese cubes last night..... (My boyfriend cut them and arranged them to say I <3 U! KEEPER!!)

I have one month left till I go to the beach, so I want to be super proud of my body that I worked so hard for!!!  Thanks for the support from everyone and I'll keep you updated!!

The Importance of Exercise

Exercise is such a great form of therapy.  How so? Well, did you ever have a really bad day at work and you just need some time to collect your thoughts? That’s exactly what you do during a workout or a run.  It helps get some energy out and sweating can be therapeutic and comparable to the hormones you release in your tears when you cry. 

I used to get really upset over things at work and I would come home and just lay on the couch.  It didn’t help me much.  Now, I workout 6 days a week and I see such a change in my mood.  I also am less irritable with my boyfriend and I am happier overall.  I fall asleep more easily at night and I can get up more easily in the morning.  Even though I am tired right after work, I get a second wind after I work out.  The hardest part is the transition from being tired into starting your workout but as long as you push through, go change into your gear, and get started you will be okay.

Honestly, if you don't exercise now, you should start.  The benefits are endless and it's hard to argue against something that makes you feel so good and has such great physical results.  Also, you will feel better about yourself when you accomplish a great feat like this!

I do Jillian Michaels 6 Week 6 Pack, 30 Day Shred, and Buns & Thighs throughout the week.  I get bored easily so I find if I switch it up it keeps my attention.  If I am bored I will lose motivation to work out so to keep it interesting I switch it up that way I don't get too used to something and my muscles don't get too used to it either.  I love Jillian Michaels because she gives me an all over workout.  I have friends that do P90X and Insanity and they have said great things about those as well.

Possible New Trend: Alphabet Earrings (As Seen On Kim Kardashian)

Okay, I know that everyone has their opinion when it comes to Kim Kardashian, especially with her and Kanye West dating now, but I just had to point out this possible new trend.  Last week she was photorgraphed with these earrings that basically are Kanye's initials: K and W.

 So how cool is that?  I have 3 holes in each of my ears and I never know what to put in the 2nd and 3rd hole.  Plus, they are flat so they won't catch on things and aren't too bulky!  It actually looks pretty cool on her and I'm sure you could find some cheap lettering jewelry if you look around on the internet.  Anyone ever see this before or even have any alphabet earrings of their own?

Clothing Makes Me So Happy!

If you think about it, fashion is such a great way to express yourself.  If you want to do something as simple as make a stranger smile, all you have to do is wear a silly shirt with a witty saying.  One thing that makes me laugh, and I have seen it in public before, is this shirt.... 

I saw it on Slingshot Tshirts' website but seriously all it does is remind me of how hilarious The Hangover was!! So next time you want to make someone laugh, just wear a silly shirt!

My Favorite Spring Color

Currently, one of my favorite colors for Spring, especially with handbags, is teal.  Teal can be very versatile since it's bright and can be complemented by other colors.  And one of my favorite handbags in teal, is the Melie Bianco Reese bag from Silvia's Handbags! This bag is nice too because you can just swing it over your shoulder, or drape it over your forearm as you strut yourself down the street!  What's your favorite Spring color?

The Pink Dahlia....

I konw there's a movie called The Black Dahlia...but I prefer the pink dahlia...as in the ring from The Trendy Boutique. Actually there are so many cute rings with roses on them, that I can't pick my favorite. These go great with elegant spring dresses and tunics, and can help complete your look with just a simple accessory!

Vamped Boutique is a great place to find trendy and edgy outfits and accessories.  They keep up with the latest celebrity trends and offer adorable pieces at a great price.  There are so many of their pieces that struck my interest as I could see them  being worn a variety of different ways.

I received the Pink Studded Top by Sugarlips. I love the oversized sleeves, they made it so comfortable and roomy.  The studs are adorable and help give this an edgy look without taking away from the class factor. 

I definitely wear this when I go out for drinks but I can also wear it to a lunch or a more casual event, where I want to spice things up just a little bit.  The fit was great, and I love how it slouched a bit on my neckline.

Friday Favorites

Here are some Friday Favorites to sum up my week:

1. The My Fitness Pal App
If you don't have it you should get it.  it's a great way to keep track of calories and weight loss and it basically runs my life now in an easy way.  I log what I eat, and it tells me what I have left. If I want to be able to eat a higher calorie meal later than I have to do some physical activity to burn calories so I do, and I log it.  It's great! 2. Organizing a Closet with Dollar Tree baskets
If you go to the Dollar Tree or any other store like that, you can pick up little bins and baskets in the storage aisle that oyu can use to put towels, washclothes, etc. in to organize your linen closet. I am doing a lot of organizing this weekend so I will have lots of posts and pictures next week!


3. Guess Handbags
I'm looking for a new one over the next couple of weeks.  Probably won't buy it, but I like to look! I just love the styles and embellishments on Guess bags!

Why I Love Dolphins

I have always been fascinated with dolphins, even as a child.  They are so compassionate and gentle and such intelligent creatures.  It's such a shame to learn every year of all the horrible ways they are abused, slaughtered, and taken advantage of.  I love animals so much and I love representing them in any way possible, which is why I love Arm the Animals.

Let me start off by saying that MPG is my FAVORITE brand of workout gear and I really love their Spring Collection.  How can anyone enjoy working out if they don't look and feel great while doing it?  Feel great? After my work outs I like to chill for a little and unwind before I hop in the shower.  It's not so comfortable to do that in a sports bra, which is why I love the Bolero.  You can just throw it on over anything and lounge around in it. It's still very stylish but it is also very comfortable.

I love the baggy loose feel to it and I love how it hangs off one shoulder. It definitely makes you feel sexy! And the front pocket is great for my phone or just to rest my hands in.
