Check out my my year without posts!
I'm participating in my own little project called My Year Without. Each month, I go without something different.
January-texting and driving.
February -cursing.
March- spending.
April -candy.
May - Fast Food
June - Gossip
July - Indoor Tanning
August - Complaining
September - Making Excuses
October - Biting My Nails
November - Road Rage
It was a challenge to remember to not bite or chew on my nails in October but I did it the best I could! It made me realize I need to relax more since it tends to be a nervous habit.
For November I'm giving up road rage which will also help me to just relax and not worry about rushing to my new destination!

October - Biting My Nails
It was easy to stop making excuses in September. I just owned up to any mistake I made. Once you make a point to start doing that, it's surprisingly easy. Plus the longer you get in the habit of NOT making an excuse the less you will do it in the future. For October I'm giving up my biting my nails. I do it as a bad habit and if I can't chew my nails, I'll often chew the skin around them. NO MORE!

I kinda didn't do so well in August. I did try to keep my complaining in check. But for September I'm giving up making excuses. I am actually pretty good with this already but I want to be even better.

So for August I'm giving up complaining. I am actually pretty good with this already but I really want to make it a point to be in a better state of mind.

So July is no more indoor tanning. I know, it's bad for you and that's why I'm giving it up!!

So June is no more gossip. This comes at a perfect time when I've recently dealt with gossip and I know firsthand how much it hurts. So this month I'll be doing my best to not partake in any gossip.

January was texting and driving. I actually did pretty good!! I refrained from even checking my phone at a stop light. It made me realize how dangerous it really is to be distracted by a phone when driving.
February was cursing but that didn't work out to well. I never curse around situations where it's not appropriate anyways so I'm not really worried about it. Behind closed doors I can express myself however I wish.
March was spending. I didn't but things I didn't need and this was actually a huge success. Aside from groceries and paying bills, I was able to restrict my spending and I even paid off my 2nd to last credit card!
April was candy. I did it! Okay, well I had cheated once.. well 4 times actually all on Easter but they were tiny pieces of candy and other than that I really did do it!
So May is going to be fast food. Not only is it gross and so bad for my body but I hope that me being able to give it upf or a month helps other people decide to give it up for good!

So for March I will be going without buying things I don't need. That means that groceries and regular expenses like that are okay, but otherwise NO. No luxury buys, no last minute impulse buys..NOTHING!
