Outfit of the Day: Blue, Black, & Bows

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Another big trend right now is printed sweaters.  We've seen crosses and owls, but what about bows.  I am in love with my bowtie printed sweater.  I love the bold blue and when I paired it with a black vest, I was very happy with the results.

I received a Warrior Training Bracelet that says Strength on it. First I want to point out the high quality of the leather, the snap closure, and the plate itself.  It’s a size 7 and it fits great and it is SO comfortable to wear even during a workout.  Every time I look at it I see that simple message – STRENGTH.  I have it, so why give up now, I need to keep working towards my fitness goals.  I need to stay strong through everything in life and this is a great reminder to do that.   This is a GREAT gift idea for almost anyone.  When I started wearing this to work, my coworkers asked where it was from.  It was so inspiring that it inspired other people!  If you soak this bracelet in sweat all you have to do is let it dry off inside out.  I’m glad that this is a durable piece of jewelry that can last me a lifetime!

I'm Participating in the 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

I am participating in the 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge and I am so excited!   I have been selected as a through a product trial to lose weight.  The product I have selected to try is I selected Raspberry Ketone 1234 because I feel it would be the best product to integrate most easily with my busy lifestyle and hectic schedule.  I work out almost everyday so this will help give me energy for that and it will help increase my metabolism which will help since mine has slowed down a bit over the years.

Since I’m not as young and energetic as I was years ago, I’ve noticed the need to regulate my diet and exercise more, but after an 8 or more hour work day, I’m just so exhausted and find myself lacking the energy, motivation, and discipline to workout.  I hope to lose a couple pounds during this challenge but mostly to lose inches off my waistline, hips, and thighs!!

You will certainly have to stay tuned to my progress that I post about because 3 lucky readers of my blog will each get a 30 day supply.  More details on that will come later.

If you want to participate in the 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge as well, you can do so here.

How to Hide A Belly

There are three easy ways to hide your belly with an outfit so that you don’t have to be insecure when you’re strutting your stuff on Girls Night Out. Honestly, nothing ruins an outfit more than being self-conscience of your stomach so here are 3 ways to and not to go about hiding your bump!

1.       Peplum

A peplum dress or even a blazer can really help draw attention away from your belly and cover the area that sticks out.  This is great for people who are otherwise slender or in shape but just have difficulty toning and tightening up their mid-section.  It’s totally trendy too, maybe because so many of us have this problem!

2.       Belts

Wide belts are perfect when it comes to hiding your muffin top in a slim fitting tunic or dress.

3.       Ruching in Winter

When you wear a top that is long it gives you a more slender torso.  Sweater dresses are huge this winter, so make sure you look for a ruched midsection in any dress you want to wear.  It helps mask that muffin top and belly pouch.

 DO NOT…
1.       Wear a babydoll top.   It makes you look pregnant, if you aren’t of course!
2.       Wear a tight top that shows all your curves when you want to hide some of them.  If you want to wear a belt over it fine but if theres more bumps and lumps, ditch it!
3.       Short Tops that make your belly uber noticeable are a huge no no!  I don’t wear crop tops or anything that is above my zipper in my jeans.

Outfit of the Day: Railroad Stripes Under a Pink Blazer

Lately, I've been trying some different things when it comes to layering.  Instead of using a solid top under this pink blazer, I opted for a blue and grey railroad striped shirt.  LOVE IT!

Soft Surroundings Review

Saturday, December 8, 2012

Soft Surroundings is known for it’s high quality clothing, footwear, and home goods.  Last year I received a super soft throw for my sofa which I still treasure to this day.   I especially love the beautiful dresses at Soft Surroundings.  They come in luxurious styles with great embellishments to make them unique and ready to wear.

I received a Chloe Dress in Black  and this is one of my favorite winter dresses I’ve ever seen or worn.  It was so soft and comfortable and it fell perfectly over my curves.   I love the ruffles on the bottom of the dress, it is perfect if you are trying to balance out your midsection.  I also love how easy it was to wear this with or without tights.  I got so many compliments and I have to add that my office is very very cold some mornings but this certainly kept me warm.  My favorite thing about it is that it wasn’t too hot and it didn’t get itchy.  This sweater dress is lightweight enough to let you move around in it without breaking a sweat.
