Ellen,
I am so tempted to look in my boyfriend's phone when he isn't around. I do trust him but I sometimes wonder, I mean how would I even know unless I look? But something tells me not to, so I just want someone else's point of view..do you think it's worth it?
Thanks,
B
Dear B:
Trust me, you do NOT want to do that. The second you look in his phone, you have given in and you will never be able to stop yourself in the future. It is a very bad habit to get into. Check it once, and you'll eventually want to start checking it everytime he looks the other way. If you have a feeling that something is going on, just talk to him about it. Otherwise, do not even bother. It will be so hard to stop yourself from snooping the next time, and the time after that, and everyday after that! I always tell my girlfriends not to do that, because it's like a curse. Once you do it, you just can't hold back anymore. Plus, think of it this way.... what do you think people without cell phones did? Just use your instincts if you think something is going on. Talk to him, talk to a friend, etc. But do not "creep" as I call it. Hope that helps you!!
Have an awesome week!

Great Advice Ellen! I am impressed with your answer. I feel that if you can't trust the guy then perhaps the relationship is not as strong as it should be. The other theory is the people don't trust when they are not trustworthy themselves.
ReplyDeleteGood answer! I say ask if you can borrow his phone because your battery died and are if he starts stuttering and sweating bullets. Lol.
ReplyDeleteOops. That should be SEE not ARE if he starts... Darn BlackBerry.
