Rocky's 9th Birthday (with Petsmart and Spoiled Pup Boutique)

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Well my little man turned 9 years old yesterday and even though I haven't even had him for 2 years yet, I still feel like I've known him his whole life. I'm pretty sure that in his last home they probably didn't celebrate dog birthdays the way I do so I made sure to spoil him!!

These were some of his gifts thanks to Petsmart and Spoiled Pup Boutique!

Petsmart has a fashionable selection of dog clothing from Tommy Bahama that they feature in stores and online! I love the casual look and styles of the Tommy Bahama line and I adore their tropical-themed toys.

And Spoiled Pup Boutique sent Rocky a stylish vest!  If you need some designer doggy clothes especially for a fancy occassion, I suggest you look at the tuxes, wedding apparel, vests, and dresses at Spoiled Pup Boutique.

Here is Rocky in his Hawaiin shirt,   which is a light and airy shirt that gives him that relaxed summer look.   It has velcro on the front so it was easy to get on and off of him and the fit was true to size! And 5% of your purchase from Petsmart goes to Petsmart Charities!!!  And his little turtle toy had

Spoiled Pup Boutique gave Rocky a polished look with this vest.  I love the little harness ring on it so I can hook him up to his leash and walk him in style.   And this velcros around the stomach and chest so it was not hard to get on and off of him.   It wasn't bulky and obnoxious (he didn't try to take it off so that says a lot)

Rocky had a great birthday with his sisters and brothers!!   I hope he gets used to the celebration, because it's going to be like this every year as long as I'm his momma!!

My Little Man is Going to The Vets

Thursday, March 22, 2012

My sweet little man goes to the vet this Friday for a check up and a consult so I can get him neutered. So let this be a reminder to everyone that it's very important to get your pet's spayed and neutered. Let breeding to the breeders and promote adoption from a shelter whenever you can.  Don't try to become a breeder.

And if you let your pet outside be sure they are kept contained in your yard, and make sure they always have a collar on with some sort of ID.

Rocky is doing great, he is so well behaved! He is great with going to the bathroom, eating on schedule, and listening to me when I give commands.
Grace and Rocky BUSTED in the middle of a nap. Yep, that's right...Grace has finally warmed up to him!

And....I caught each of my girls playing with him recently. They all love him and have accepted him into our family!

I will right another blog post/update after his vet appointment.

Meet Rocky...My Newest Chihuahua Addition!

Monday, March 5, 2012

This weekend I was blessed with an addition to my Chihuahua Clan!  My mom called me on Saturday because she happened upon a little chihuahua running through her neighborhood.  She told me he was really nice but she didn't want to keep him inside until they find his owner because my mom and dad have another Chihuahua and they didn't know if he would mind. So ofcourse I said yes to taking him at my house.

Instantly I fell in love, he was so sweet and so well behaved.  I began searching for his owners, but come Sunday morning still came up with nothing.

Through word of mouth in my parents' neigborhood the owners were discovered and my mom paid them a visit. It was an elderly couple from Kansas, staying with their son and daughter in law, and they have 4 dogs total.  It turns out they had been planning to rehome some of the dogs because it was beginning to be too much for them. My mom showed them a picture of me and my current pups and the man said "I believe in signs, and I believe this is a sign that he wandered into the arms of a Chihuahua lover!".   They told my mom I could keep him, they told me his name, Rocky, and they told me when they get back to Kansas they will send his papers, etc. to me.

Rocky is fitting in just fine, he loves his house, siblings, and his life in general.  It's very obvious by how happy he is all the time.  As an 8 year old Chihuahua, he's very mature and calm, which I am thankful for.  I plan to write more about him and my other Chihuahuas as I go along!
