The inside was more luxurious for passengers that rode with me than it had been in the Sorento EX from September. The heated second row seats make a world of a difference especially in the cold weather months. I feel like I'm a supermodel when I walk out to this car, because the look is just so stylish and sleek!

When it comes to passengers, it's great for a night out with friends. Everyone fits so comfortably with plenty of room to move around and still have privacy and not be squished up against the person next to you. My pups, Pixie and Grace just loved the seats....they told me it was very comfortable for doggy passengers as well. Actually, it was. I had to take one of them for a routine vet check up and it was so nice to be able to hook up the dog car seat without slamming my head on the top of a vehicle when leaning in. So just think of how easy it is for someone with a carseat and child!

When it comes to storage, shopping sprees and routine grocery trips were a breeze. Even in a regular sized car it seems like everything gets squished and rolls around when you go around a curve, but not in the 2014 Sorento SX!

In fact, my shopping bags stayed upright in the trunk, and as it had started to rain when I first left the mall, I was so glad that it was SUPER quick and easy to put the third row seating down. Literally no grunting and breaking into a sweat and getting frustrated! Plus, if you have passengers in the second row, you want to make sure everyone has room for their shopping bags, luggage, purses, overnight bags, whatever! This is such a great SUV for any lifestyle, especially a 20-something gal!

I still get excited when I hit the unlock button the remote and I see the door handle lighting up so I can open it in the dark more easily.

A Look at the Technical Side of the 2014 Kia Sorento SX Limited

I went over the basic features of the 2014 Kia Sorento but now it's time to go into detail.

With a 3.3L DOHC GDI V6 Engine and a 6 Speed Automatic Transmission with Sportmatic, this SUV is versatile. It has independent front and rear suspension and all wheel drive. Made for the outdoors or even just a snowy street, it can move with safety behind each inch of itself.

Safety features include dual front advanced airbags, front seat mounted side airbags, side curatin airbags in the FIRST and SECOND row, Anti-Lock Breaks, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control and a Tire Pressure Monitoring system. You can feel secure knowing that you'll get a heads up about the maintenance with the tires.

I went on a nice shopping spree and I was so pleased with how all my shopping bags fit securely in the back. I also have to say that jamming out to the 10 speak audio system made this a bit more fun than the 6 speaker system that came in the EX version. I even posed with this beauty in an outfit post!! This is a fantastic car for someone in their 20's or 30's because it's so versatile for all different lifestyles.   Wait till my final post on the 2014 Kia Sorento when I give you all the deets on how she drove!

Pixie and Grace even approved of how spacious the inside was and how smooth the ride was. And no, I didn't let them sit like they are in the photo above, DUH! I strapped them into their car seats. I must say, It was really nice to have so much space for my shopping bags, pets, friends, and myself!

Take a Look at the Beautiful 2014 Kia Sorento SX Limited

Can I just tell you absolutely in love I am with the 2014 Kia Sorento. I mean, the 2014 EX was a gem, but the 2014 SX Limited is SO amazing!!!!!!

In a gorgeous snow white pearl, with black interior the 2014 Kia Sorento sports a power liftgate and rear spoiler. The Xenon HID Headlamps ensure you can see even on the darkest of back roads. The entire SUV has a sporty sleek look, still without looking oversized and ridiculous.

Inside, the panoramic sunroof with power sun shade is my favorite feature. It's amazing how much it can light up the vehicle inside and it doesn't even feel like your closed into an SUV. The spaciousness of the 2014 Kia Sorento is superb. Not only is it easy to get in and out of this vehicle, but there is SO much room for people, shopping bags, and other accessories you may need on a daily basis.

The leather seats are so luxurious and soft and the fact that they are ventilated and heated is great no matter what type of weather you are in. It makes the commute to work on a cold dark morning so much more enjoyable. I am absolutely in love with the size of the trunk. It's great that it's so versatile. The cargo net allows you to hold things securely in place, but if you need more room you can simply lower the 3rd row seats.

Whether you are riding in the front or back, there is so much leg room and great storage on the back of the front row seats, as well as climate control so all of your passengers can be comfortable. There's also an available arm rest in the second row. A cup holder even pops out! The 2014 EX from September didn't have heated second row seats, but the 2014 SX Limited does and oh my is that a luxury for passengers.

The third row seats and rear AC are great for a large family, or just a large group of friends that travel together a lot. Even for being in the very back, it's still roomy, yet cozy.

Back to being the driver..... The blind spot detection is fabulous and the heated leather wrapped steering wheel is easy to grip and steer. It's so easy to adjust the climate controls and the steering wheel controls make it more safe, preventing distractions for the driver. And the 2014 SX Limited has Drivers seat memory settings, so it's got another added luxury from the EX version.

The thing I love about the 2014 Kia Sorento is all the storage compartment space in the front. I have room for my parking garage pass, my umbrella, my USB cord, my water bottle, my purse, my cell phone, and even sitting my wallet up front is easy and more convenient.

It's just so amazing to me that such a larger sized vehicle can be so sleek and sporty and so comfortable on the inside. The STANDARD Navigation system is fantastic with a large 8" display making it quick and easy to see where you're at. Speaking of comfort, did I mention that the second row seats are heated? Well, they are!! Oh and the sound system is fantastic no matter where you are sitting. The third row seating is optional the cost for the specific Kia Sorento I drove, it's $40,750 MSRP. It also comes with a 10 year/100k mile limited Powertrain Warranty, a 5 year/60k mile limited basic warranty, and a 5 year/60k mile roadside assistance package. The fuel economy is 20 MPG, with 18 in the city and 24 on the highway.

Wait till I share even more details about the 2014 Kia Sorento later this week!! So far, I'm in love!

Driving in the 2014 Kia Sorento EX

Monday, September 23, 2013

This vehicle was provided by DriveSTI in exchange for my fair and honest review. Read my Disclosure Policy.

Cars, kia, sorento, kia sorento, Drive STI, drive experiences,

After showing you the inside and the outside of the 2014 Kia Sorento EX, it's time to take it for a drive. I have to say that it's like riding in luxury.
Cars, kia, sorento, kia sorento, Drive STI, drive experiences,

A quiet smooth ride with easy to use and understand safety features like a blind spot detector that lets you know when a car is in your blindspot. It was a much less anxious drive when I had to be on the highway, and I was really pleased with the back up camera to get out of parking spots.

This SUV handles curves and turns really well. I was really pleased at how easy it was to go on backroads in my area that curve and wind all around. I also liked that this thing stopped on a dime when I needed it to.
It may not get as good of gas mileage as a car, but it sure as heck can drive and handle like one.

It's very easy to get in and out of the Sorento, even though it's an elevated vehicle. It's also very convenient to be able to throw groceries and other shopping bags in the trunk. The seats are so comfortable for both the driver and any passengers and the navigation system was on point when I needed to find my way around over the week that I had this vehicle.

I found no issues with pulling in and out of even the most narrow parking spots.  Between the back up camera and the height, it's easy to see your surroundings!

There is plenty of room for my doggies.   Here is their carseats  and us hanging around in the trunk being goofy!
This car is great for anyone that likes to do outdoor things and needs a lot of cargo space, but still wants the luxury of a nice vehicle, or even for anyone with a family or a large dog :) ! I personally just love the look and style of this SUV and it's now on my list of vehicles I hope to own someday!!!

Cars, kia, sorento, kia sorento, Drive STI, drive experiences,

I already showed you the basic rundown of the sporty and luxurious 2014 Kia Sorento EX, but here's a deatiled look at the inside, the features, and what's under the hood!
The 2014 Kia Rio EX comes with Automatic Climate Control for the passenger side AND the driver's side. It's super easy to use and it seriously makes for a more comfortable drive for both the driver and the passenger. I love the Rear Camera display, it makes it so much easier to park and back out in such a large vehicle. The power driver's seat has lumbar support and it's so nice to be able to adjust it quickly and smoothly when you need your seat further up to the wheel or farther away. The push button start is AMAZING. For some reason it's such a luxurious to me. I also was impressed when I saw that this SUV comes with an interior accent illumination. It's a glowing red inside which makes it easier to see what's going on in your car while you are driving, but without turning on a bright light.

There are so many compartments in the front for drinks, phone storage, and anything else you can imagine. It's a very smart setup and allow everything to stay in reach. I also love the deep center console! The surround sound system is AMAZING!!!!!! and the panoramic roof with power sunshade is huge and is the perfect way to relax and enjoy your commute to and from work. I was so impressed. I absolutely adore the vehicle's interior features!

This is such a luxurious vehicle. It's so comfortable inside and it's easy to adjust practically ANYTHING!

It's easy to play an iPod in the 2014 Kia Sorento, as there's a USB port, an Aux jack, plenty of charging outlet space, and Sirius Satellite Radio. I also couldn't believe all the little controls for everything!! Did you know that there's a blind spot alert on the side mirrors that allows you to see if there's a car in your blind spot?! That came in SO HANDY!!!

I love that you can use the steering wheel controls for the audio/navigation, or you can use the touch screen itself! It's nice to have options!

The 2014 Kia Sorento EX that I have right now is a 3.3L DOHC GDI V6 Engine, with Independent front and rear suspension. It's a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic. It's all wheel drive with a locking center differential. For an SUV this thing handles like a champ! And it's so quiet and smooth on the inside when driving. On the outside, it's still quiet and not at all a tank! Some SUV's can be so loud when they are just idling!

Check back next week when I let you know exactly how this beauty drives!
