Bucket List Check// Finished My Tattoo

Friday, October 24, 2014

One of the things on my 30 Before I'm 30 Bucket List was to get my paw tattoo finished. I already had Pixie and Grace's pawprints so I wanted to get Stella and Rocky's added.

I went to Anali Delaney at Never Say Die Tattoo in Harrisburg, PA.   It was super fast and she did a great job!   I even had her touch up the 2 pawprints I already had.

This tattoo means a lot to me because my dogs are obviously like my children.  And I want to have them with me forever wherever I go, so this is just one symbolic way of doing that.

Do you have any tattoos? What do they mean to you?

  1. Yay! I'm going in for my second session to hopefully finish up my cover up tattoo on Tuesday! My first tattoo is a butterfly b/c I like butterflies and it kind of represented freedom for me and starting a new journey I guess. My second says "Just Dance." I got this one because dance was a huge part of my life for 15 years. I danced in a rec program, competed, and taught and choreographed. My third was done by someone who wasn't a professional and it was at a house and done at like midnight til 9 in the morning. It was flowers and vines and just really shitty. There are/ were three "lily" flowers because three is my lucky number and the lily is my birth flower. Now it is being covered up/ fixed with blue roses, strings with jewels and charms attached/ kind of lacey details, stitching/ quilting around the vines with the vines being fixed, and stuff like that. This will kind of represent leaving the bad experiences and bad people in my past, and how far I have come in rebuilding my life and everything.

  5. Ellen~ So glad you found my blog! Yes, I'm a PA girl too, near the OH border actually. I love the tat! I have my sheltie boy Titus's paw tattooed on my left ankle. I got it after he passed away as a tribute because while I am totally in love with all of my dogs he was that "special" one.
