Another month, another list of great books.   I had lots more time to read this month so enjoy my favorite picks!

The First Mistake by Sandie Jones
Wow there were so many twists and turns in this book about two women that have a lot more in common than one may think.  I seriously didn't know who was going to do what.  Alice has a happy marriage even after her last husband died on her.  She is good friends with Beth.  But Beth and Alice's husband already know each other.  And Alice and Beth's ex-boyfriend know each other. Trust me, this one's GOOD!!

Confessions of an Innocent Man by David Dow
This book was so bad ass.  A man gets accused of murdering his wife.  He spends many years in prison on death row.  When he gets out he is looking for revenge on the judges that ruled against him. Will he find closure or will his time ironically run out again?

She Lies in Wait by Gytha Lodge
I love how this one unfolded.  It was very well written, jumping back and forth between the past and the present as detectives try to look into the death of a girl whose bones were recently found.  As each chapter unfolded I thought of a new suspect. Such a great read!!

The Better Sister by Alafair Burke
Chloe marries her estranged sister's ex-husband and raises their son.   Then her husband ends up dead.  First her stepson is pinned for it but as things start to unfold the truth is shocking. Such a great read with great twists!
