People always ask what shows they should watch next - and as an avid binge watcher of shows over the last 2 decades I figured I would come up with a brief list of my all time favorite series to binge watch. Breaking Bad
Hands down my favorite series of all time. You will understand so many references once you watch this series. It's very intense at times but it is SO WORTH IT. I've watched it many many times. Also - watch the Netflix movie El Camino immediately when you finish. You're welcome!
Better Call Saul
This takes place before, during, and after Breaking Bad so you MUST watch it if you watch Breaking Bad. It explains a lot and also is way less intense for the most part than Breaking Bad.
Animal Kingdom
I have always loved this series. Amazing acting - a little farfetched at times but still a juicy watch. I really love Shawn Hatosy in this series and I've watched the entire series three times now.
The Sopranos
A classic that you will love but also hate at times. I feel like it's such an iconic part of our pop culture that you would be remiss to miss out on the opportunity to watch it. The only downside is that many of the actors are no longer with us so sometimes that makes me sad when I rewatch it.
Sons of Anarchy
Gritty and action packed with complex characters, this is a long but enjoyable series. I was never in to shows like this so I was not sure I'd like it but after 2 full watch throughs of the entire series, it's definitely worth your time.
The Wire
I promise - it's worth it. It's many seasons and many episodes but there is nostalgia from the early 2000s and the storyline and character development is SO GOOD. I found myself thinking of the characters long after I was done watching. It's definitely a time commitment and you need to pay attention during the dialogue scenes, but it's worth it, I assure you!
Lost
Lost was one of the first series I ever committed to watching when I was a teenager and into my early 20s. Some of it is a big goofy and sci-fi but for the most part the characters are endearing and the twists and tragedies will consume you. There are some episodes that seem to get sidetracked but if you stick with it, you will be glad you did!
