So if you're a chronic scroller of TikTok like I am you may have seen the viral Tiffany Plate which is basically a plate of veggies, fruits, and other foods that are dipped in cottage cheese and mustard. The Tiffany Plate gets it's name from Tiffany Magee who started it in an effort to eat more raw veggies and healthier foods. So I was inspired to make my own and here's what I did and what I thought. First I decided to pick the foods. I first chose broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, heart of palm, pickles, blueberries, raspberries, bell peppers, and sweet italian sausage. You can choose whatever you like best. Sometimes I even add in soft boiled eggs.
I eat this for lunch and it makes me be mindful about my eating but also I actually eat a nutritious lunch and I'm not starving by the end of the work day.
I choose one day every week to prep everything where I cook the sausage and then divide everything into containers so that if for some reason I need to be on the go, I can pack it like a lunch.
The whole idea behind this is that you end up eating healthier foods and get the benefits of the raw veggies and other foods. And for me, if I eat too many of certain vegetables it can make me feel gassy but when I eat a few pieces only it seems I never get the weird side effects, so it really truly does force me to eat better.
I actually love the cottage cheese (low calorie and makes things taste better because you have something you dip it in ) and the mustard is a nice touch.
I have no complaints about this and I didn't do it to be trendy, I simply wanted to see if it worked for me and it does! Have you tried your version of this plate?
