Check out my home tour posts!
It's been a crazy year in many ways and this is our first Christmas without Stella so the holiday spirit hasn't been as strong in me but I did my best to pull it all together and decorate. So enjoy!
Fall is my favorite time of year, mostly because I think the decor is so natural and beautiful. Come see how I decorated my home for Fall this year!
Remember how earlier this week I showed off our basement floor makeover? Well, Baker Epoxy Coatings did it again with our garage!
Enjoy the before and afters!

We had so many issues with water getting in and holes in the floor it was just horrible. I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL GARAGE NOW!!!!
So we are having a lot of work done around our house lately and I'm so excited to show you our new basement floor thanks to Baker Epoxy Coatings of Mechanicsburg!
If you don't know what epoxy coating is it's basically a way to protect your floor and make it look amazing. On Day one they ground the floor down, on day 2 they put the base coat on and applied flake, and on day 3 that put the top coat on.

If you've been reading this blog for at least a few months, you certainly have seen how much I adore our screened in porch and backyard. We've been in our home for over 2 years now and it's still the part of our home that we use the most. The screened in porch is perfect because it is outdoors, but it is screened enough to keep the majority of insects and pests outside. We eventually will be putting in a patio as well so that will give us even more outdoor living space!
So as you know, our screened in porch is where I spend most of my time. I love it and it's like being outside without the annoying bugs. I mean I literally spend every waking moment that I can out here. So, I decided to spruce it up a bit more going off of my list of a few things I wanted changed about it.
1. More Seating
2. More Storage
3. Less Clutter
So I did just that!
I found another couch to go with the loveseat we already had. This one was a 3 seater sofa. I love the loveseat, don't get me wrong but I can't really stretch out on it when I lay down to read. I also take naps in the afternoons on weekends and it's quite uncomfortable being all folded up.
Of course I went crazy trying to figure out how to position everything. I even made little blue prints for all of my options. In the end I settled for having everything at an angle instead of aiming straight ahead. It actually opened it up much more.
There's still plenty of room for the dining area.
Fresh flowers really give it that added homey touch!

So since I keep my gardening supplies out here I got another utility cart from Amazon and VOILA!
What's your ideal outdoor living space look like?
It's been over a year since we've been in our house now and the really cool thing about home ownership is that you can never get bored with your home because there's always things you can update and refresh. Speaking of... you know when people say "Oh, there will ALWAYS be something that needs worked on in your house"? Well that's totally true. It's like we just go from one thing to the next. It doesn't mean the house isn't in good shape, it's just that literally a house is made up of so many components from the yard to the inside to the details around the outside structure that there's always something that can be tweaked. So here are a few things we did:
Our laundry room is in the basement and it used to be a cold, dark, drab space. So we decided to spruce it up. There's a work bench on the other side of the room and James loves to work down there but I just felt like the room was still ugly and dark. Really, it's the little things that transform spaces that are normally unattractive. The laundry romo was always so blah and it sucked having to run downstairs to change the laundry over but now I don't mind it so much because I know I get to enjoy the cute little details.
It's finally here - the time of year where I have the perfect excuse
to go crazy decorating my home. So come along and take a look at what
I've done.
Now these, little dudes are super special to me. These are Gnoments - a relationship kit designed to encourage couples to do kind and thoughtful things for each other to keep the relationship fun and fresh. The holidays get super busy and it's easy to get stressed out and overwhelmed and in turn, neglecct your partner. Gnoments help to keep everything strong and interesting.
The Gnoments kit comes with a boy and a girl gnome as well as a 32 page hard-covered illustrated storybook. Inside the book there are plenty of examples of how to use your gnomes. They have positionable hats, magnets in their hands, and bean bag bottom. They can sit basically anywhere and they act as great Christmas decorations!
That's not all though...each gnome has a little back pouch where you can stuff little gifts, mementos, or notes. And if you have an NFC enabled smart phone you can program the Gnome's chip to send a video, sound clip, picture, map, or a link from the internet. And on the Gnoments website you can register your gnome and create gnomitars and sends messages through the gnomifications app.
These little guys are so cute and it's a fun way for me and James to share laughs every night! And when people come over and we don't want to explain what the gnomes are for, we don't have to because they just look like regular decor!

It's finally here - our official first house tour! There will be many more posts about this and about all the changes we make but for now - here is the first look INSIDE our new house!
Living Room \\ When you first enter our home you will be in the Living Room.
Dining Room \\ Next you will run into the dining room. I wanted to go with a Buddha theme here.
This wall transitions into the Kitchen...
Kitchen \\ My favorite place! Mostly because there is a skylight!
Screened-In Porch \\ Our dining room leads out to the screened-in porch.
If you look down our hallway you will find 4 doors. Behind each door is...
The Office \\ Our office is amazing and even has in-wall storage. This is also where the dog pee pads are and our pet rat, Hoodie.
Across from the office is..
Master Bathroom \\ Enjoy!
And then next is...
Master Bedroom \\ Which is basically where James has his clothing, dresser, and some decorations.
which has a small bathroom..
And then... the moment you have ALL been waiting for..... last but certainly not least....... the second bedroom/guest room/ my get ready room .... This room contains my closet, my dressers, a bed, and my vanity.
Stay tuned for a look at the basement, the garage, and the yard!
