It is always fun to go shopping for sneakers. With so many styles and brands to choose from, it can sometimes be hard to choose a pair that you like best. However, when you are going to buy a pair of sneakers, the most important factor should not only be how they look. While every person wants to look good in their sneakers, you must also be certain that they fit properly. 1. Give your toes room to breathe

A common mistake that people often make when they buy sneakers at places like SneakerKing.com is not giving their toes enough room. Your feet may feel fine when you are walking around the shore store, but if you fail to give your toes adequate room, a few days of walking in those shoes will cause you some serious pain. Obviously, if you do any form of physical activity in shoes that do not fit correctly, you are running the risk of having a serious injury. Ideally, your toe should have a good half-inch of space between it and the front of the shoe. This will allow your foot to slide forward slightly without slamming into the front of the shoe.

2. Get properly fitted

Another common mistake that people make during the process of buying sneakers is assuming they know their own size. However, many people are surprised to find out what their real size is once they have been professionally fitted by an employee at a shoe store. Even if you are 99 percent certain that you know what your size is, it only takes a minute to be fitted. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If you ever wonder why you have pain in your toes and feet, there is a distinct possibility that you have been wearing sneakers that are too small for you. 

3. Wear them around your house

For the first few days after you buy new sneakers, only wear them indoors. If you do this, you will still be able to return them if you change your mind.

Loving Layers

It's been chilly lately so I like to layer.   Stella already keeps warm with her long hair but it's not so easy for me.  I just used a simple crochet poncho and a regular sweater for this one.

1| Hands off your phone

I keep my iPhone on my air vent thanks to my Kenu Airframe + where I can still see it if I need to answer an incoming call or use the GPS features.   But I won't be distracted with holding it and looking down at it.

2| Buckle Up
Seriously, not only is it the law, but it can really save your life.   Make it a habit of buckling up EVERY TIME you get in the car and after a few weeks it'll be second nature.  In fact, I don't even notice when I buckle up because I do it so habitually.

3| Keep the Music at a Reasonable Volume
It's completely fine to enjoy music while you drive, but keep it at a level where you could still hear sirens in the distance, or hear a car beeping behind you.

4| Go Hands Free When On A Phone Call

5| Wear Sunglasses

Preparing for Spring

Even though the weather is bipolar right now and can't decide whether it wants to stay warm or cold, Spring officially started on Friday!    I like to do little things in my own life to prepare for the warmer weather.

 

I always switch my cell phone case to something more appropriate and this new teal floral iPhone 6 case from Ankit is perfect! I love the soft but rubbery feel.  It really helps me get a better grip when I hold my phone and I know that this case is protecting it.  The floral is so vibrant and beautiful!

 

One of the downfalls to warmer weather is that my bedroom gets really hot at night and I end up waking up drenched in sweat. My Week in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco

I was provided a vehicle for 1 week in exchange for my honest opinion. Read my Disclosure Policy. 
 

So last week I got to drive the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco.  It's a fantastic car! This Venetian Red beauty has a 1.6L Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection 4-Cylinder Engine with 178 horsepower and a 7-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission.  

Inside it's SUPER roomy and has such comfortable seating not only for the driver but all passengers.  I love the blind spot alert and I absolutely love the sound system and the 5-inch color touch screen.

There's so much room to store things in the various cup holders and storage cubbies that keep everything all within reach.  I have to say one of my biggest pet peeves is when I go around a bend and all of my stuff falls out of the holders but that doesn't happen in this car.  I can't imagine having kids in the back and trying to get somewhere with all the chaos of things falling around so that's why I really loved that small detail of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco. 

There is such a sleek and sporty look to this car.  I love everything about it!   It did a great job handling turns on rough roads and it also did great in the city with all the stop and go.  

The headlights made it so easy to see at night and in crappy rainy conditions.  I also love the safety features like a rearview camera (works wonders when parallel parking), ABS, Impact Reducing Front Seats, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Management, and like I said earlier the Blind Spot detection.

The little luxuries like the proximity key entry system, push button start, heated front seats, and the auto dimming rearview mirror make everyday that much easier.   I really love not having to worry about where my key is, as longa s it's with me I can get in the car and start it.  I love the trunk, it fits an insane amount of stuff. I put 8 trash bags of clothes in there to donate!!!  

This car had such a quiet ride.  Even on horribly torn up city streets I barely felt the bumps and I had such a quiet and relaxing commute to and from work.  It feels like you are in your own little private bubble.

 
You can even hook up with Blue Link and search using your voice to find a location you wish to go and the navigation will take over.  Also, I loved the voice text messaging.  This is a GREAT safety feature and a major convenience!   You can select a friend all with your voice and then the system dictates your text message back to you before sending.  I also love that I can share my location with friends and see where they are!   And of course Roadside Assistance gives you an insane amount of reassurance when you are in a bad situation.  

I love this vehicle.  This specific one costs $28,310.00 which is pretty good for everything you get.
