When it comes to your job there's always going to be drama around you, especially if you work in an actual office.   So while it's easy to not be the cause of drama in most cases, it's also important to find a way to not let the surrounding drama affect you. 

Here are a few tips to do just that. 

Mind Your Own | I always say just keep your head down and do your thing.  If there's drama, don't get involved.  If someone is telling you about something, play dumb like you didn't already know about it.   You never want to be the source of gossip in an office because it will always come back to bite you in the ass. 

Be the Bigger Person | I have a boss that I used to work for and she likes to say nasty things about me to my coworkers.  I know it's because she's jealous of me because I could literally run circles around her, but I also have to handle it in a mature way.   Sometimes you have to be the bigger person and just not play her game.  Don't try to start rumors about HER for revenge, and don't try to kiss her ass.  In fact, it's totally acceptable to just act as if she doesn't exist even in passing, unless it's in a meeting and you have to hold a door open for her, etc. 


Be Everyone's Friend | Just because a friend in the office doesn't like someone, doesn't mean you should automatically be against them.   Be friendly and cordial to everyone.   It will always pay off because everyone will have something good to say about your friendly ways. 

Be Your Own Person | Sometimes little cliques form in an office and they can make other people feel left out or cause them to assume you are similar to the people in that clique.  Don't align yourself with any clique.   Chat with EVERYONE when in large meetings, and say hi to everyone.   Also, don't stand in a group and gossip or whisper.  It always gets noticed, trust me!

How to Travel With Your Pet

 Looking for cheap hotels in Los Angeles that are pet-friendly? Traveling with your pup can be fun, but it can also be harrowing if you didn’t plan accordingly. Keep reading for tips on how to travel with man’s best friend.

1. Keep your pet in a carrier. This will help them to stay safe when in unfamiliar surroundings. It will also keep your pet protected from the unsolicited attention of strangers.

2. Make sure the carrier has plenty of ventilation, from both the sides and the door. It should also have a safe entryway with a latch or a zipper.

3. Contact the airline beforehand to find out the right size for the pet carrier. Otherwise, you could find out that your pet can’t travel with you on the plane.

4. Bring food bowls and water bowls that collapse.

5. Pack both dry and wet dog food, as well as treats. Otherwise, you’ll spend part of your vacation trying to find a store that sells the food you’re dog is used to. Buy small cans of food so that you don’t have to store leftovers. Don’t forget to pack the can opener!

6. Bring along proof that your pet is healthy and has been vaccinated. Many airlines and hotels require this documentation.

7. Write down information about area vets. If there’s an emergency, you’ll know exactly who to call and where to bring your pet.

8. Don’t just show up with your pet. Make a reservation for your animal at the airline and the hotel.

9. Make sure your dog’s collar has up-to-date tags.

10. Keep a leash handy at all times. It’s not safe to let your dog walk without a leash when you’re both in an unfamiliar town.

11. Pack comfort items for your pet, like his favorite toy or the blanket he sleeps with every night.

12. Bring along natural supplements that will help calm your dog. Some animals don’t react well to travel and need help relaxing. Instead of relying on medications or sedatives, natural “treats” with chamomile or valerian extract will keep them calm.

13. Pack extra waste bags so that you can keep vehicles, parks, and hotel rooms clean.

With the right preparations, you don’t have to exclude the family pet from your travel plans!

When it comes to flat irons, I only use and standby the best quality products, and I have to say I am a huge fan of the Chi G2! I wanted to put together some tips on how to find a decent flat iron so enjoy!

Simple Steps To Live An Eco-Friendly Lifestyle

I am a huge fan of this beautiful planet that we live on and I want to make every effort I can to help take care of it, especially when so many people don't.  Over the years I've adopted a more eco-friendly lifestyle and it's really not that hard for others to do.  I wanted to put together a few ways that you can still live your everyday life as you do now, but just in a more respectful way to the environment.   This can include recycling more, reducing your waste, and choosing environmentally friendly products.   I hope some of these ideas inspire you to do the same. 


1 | Recycle Plastic Bags
For years I have been reusing my plastic grocery bags in numerous ways.   I like to use them as trash can liners, trash bags for cat litter/dog waste, and trash bags in my car!  Most grocery stores have recycling bins for their bags so if you honestly have no use for them, just bring them to the store on your next trip. 

2 | Recycle Magazines
I don't just mean throw them in a recycle bin.  I mean after you route your magazines to friends, family, and coworkers, use them in a very convenient way in your closet.  If you roll a magazine up and stick it in a boot, it'll stand up tall.

3| Use Cardboard Boxes
If you don't need to keep a box for storage purposes, why not use it for organizing purposes?   I cut and create drawer organizers for my dresser drawers by using cardboard boxes!  And if you really want to get creative you can decorate them with Washi Tape or paint. 

4 | Use Jars as Home Décor
Jars are great for so many things.   You can paint them (or give them to someone else to paint) and give them as gifts to friends and family!  I use jars to store pencils, makeup, fresh flowers, and many more things.




5 | Use Recycled Batteries
Recycled batteries - yes they are a thing, a very new thing.  In fact, Energizer EcoAdvanced AA Batteries are the first battery on the market to use recycled batteries and material.  It's Energizer's longest lasting alkaline ever!  I use these in everything possible in my home now, from remote controls to flashlights.
