What I Feed My Chihuahuas

A lot of people have asked what type of food I feed my babies to keep them healthy and happy.  I always make sure to feed them all natural food and treats and I am super picky even when it comes to a "special occassion."

For instance, every holiday, I feed them canned food because I know they enjoy it and it's fun for me to include them in on meal time.   But what kind of canned food do I feed? Blue Buffalo.  I feed them Blue Buffalo as their dry food anyways and have never had a problem.

As for canned, they really love Turducken. It has turkey, chicken, and duck all in one can.   There's also peas, potatoes, and carrots to help give my dogs a balanced meal!   And everything is made with REAL meat, not byproducts!    There is also no wheat, which is often an allergy trigger for dogs and causes them to lick their paws and itch their skin.  I sometimes mix this in with their regular dry food. They absolutely love it!

It's important to make sure the first 10 ingredients in a dog food are natural REAL ingredients, not fillers and byproducts.   Trust me, it makes a big difference.

What do you feed your dogs?

  1. I used to feed them Blue Buffalo but Mowgli's stomach didn't agree with it. So I feed all 3 Wellness.

  2. We have lost 2 of our 3 dogs in the last 8 months. I had six animals and now are down to 3. My bichon is 12 years old and is very picky!! He eats food one day and will ignore it the next. He gets lots of chicken breast and rice. He seems to know if it is left overs too!! Funny!! Rita Spratlen
