I was super busy this month so I only read a few books but here they are...

When the Lights Go Out by Mary Kubica
I've always been a fan of this author and this book did not fail to make me love her even more. Jessie's mom is dying from Cancer and Jessie's desperately trying to find out who she really is.  Was she a baby abducted from someone?  Why is her social security number registered to someone who is dead? An emotional book full of amazing twists, you HAVE to read this!

This Is Me by Chrissy Metz
A great look at who Chrissy Metz is and how her life was growing up, all before her famed role on This Is Us.

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier
This reminds me of several true crime cases I've obsessed over.  A girl is dead and her boyfriend and her seem to be responsible.  Things begin to unravel over time and old sparks are reignited.  A nice easy but thrilling read.

  2. I was a nerd and read How to Kill a Mockingbird and I'm finishing up "Their Eyes were watching God". I will be watching the movie when I get done with it. My daughters recommended the book and want to watch the movie with me.

  3. I LOVED "This is Me" though also felt so bad for how awful she was treated for so much of her life. I read "Just Mercy" which was very eye opening, but also hard to read due to several stories (all true) full of corruption.
