Do what makes you feel great about yourself

Many of us will be guilty of not doing what we love often enough. Although we know beauty treatments can make us feel great or reading in the park can help us switch off and relax, we let the busyness of life take over and get in the way.

Therefore, it is good practice to do more of what you love. For instance, if you know that a cosmetic procedure like a tummy tuck can help you to remove the excess fat that has been knocking your confidence, then go for it. Life is too short to be unhappy. You should do what makes you feel your best and listen to what your mind and body want to be happy.

Doing what makes you happy can also be small things too. Simply allowing yourself to have some chocolate after dinner or going to bed early can help you love yourself and do what is right for your mind and body.

Recognize that you are not ok

It is common for humans to push aside/down their negative emotions. Yet, the more we push our feelings away, the deeper they are going down. We bottle up so much emotion that at one point in the future, it will all surface and make us crash down. This doesn’t need to happen.

Instead, it is more effective and self-loving to recognize negative emotions and do something about them. Processing them and being proactive in finding a solution will help you overcome the hurdle. As difficult or as painful as it might be, it is better for your mind to work through difficult times. It will allow us to become stronger and deal with obstacles. As a result, we can be proud of ourselves and love who we are for getting through tough times as opposed to pushing them aside for a later date.

Find things that you are proud of

While many of us think of our ‘bad’ attributes, we should use this energy to think of the good that we have within ourselves. We all have things to be proud of, even if you don’t believe so in this moment. We all achieve things on a daily basis that we should be proud of. From helping someone at work to mastering a new coffee recipe, there are so many little things that happen throughout our day that we should seek pride in.

At the beginning or end of every day, you should sit and write down 3 to 5 things that you have achieved/should be proud of recently. It will help you feel more admirable for who you are.
