Fall Wardrobe Refresh

I love Fall but it absolutely requires me to refresh my wardrobe and I highlight recommend everyone do the same. You honestly don’t even need to purchase new items, you really just need to think of creative ways to use what you already have. So here is how I do a Fall wardrobe refresh.
Use what you have.

Look high and low because there are often things we have that we don’t realize we can use for cooler weather outfits. Sometimes it’s a pair of tights that got crumpled behind your jeans that would go great with a shorter dress that you wouldn’t wear without them.

Embrace layering.

Make sure you utilize cold and warm weather pieces for the in between seasons like Fall and Spring. A short sleeve or sleeveless top for summer can still be worn with a jacket thrown over top. You can even wear skirts with leggings or tights that you already have as I mentioned above.

Add accessories to embrace the weather.

Sometimes simply adding a fashion scarf can make an outfit look more appropriate for cooler weather so don’t forget to accessorize your outfit options.

Lose the layers.

At the same time we embrace layers, losing them can also help. An outfit strictly worn in very cold weather can have layers removed just slightly so that it’s better for not hot but not cold weather – that ideal cool Fall vibe. A sweater dress AND leggings that you’d wear in Winter can be swapped out for just the sweater dress with some tall boots so there’s only a little bit of your leg exposed.

Add staples.

If you notice you’re short on layering pieces like tights/leggings and basic tees, this is the time to purchase those so you can build more outfit options for the season.

Hopefully you have some motivation to find some great outfit options for Fall!
