I have been living for the decluttering challenges I’ve been seeing on social media this year. And the thing is, I’m more of a minimalist than most people and I still have enjoyed them because having to reach a certain quota of items I let go, I’ve had to really dig deep… literally. I’ve been deep in my storage bins and stuff from childhood. And it feels great!
So today I wanted to mention the 300 in 30 days declutter challenge. It basically goes like this: Everyday for 30 days you have to get rid of 10 items. It all adds up to 300 in the end. But the way you complete it can vary.
Some people try to fill a bag a day or if they don’t have tons of stuff it’s a bag a week. Some people set aside time each day like 5-10 minutes to do a declutter of 10 items. Some people (me included) might try to do just do as much as possible at a time.
For me, I made a note in my phone with a check box for 10 things. I made 30 of them. Each time I got rid of 10 things, I checked the box off. I worked ahead on some days and other days I didn’t get to do anything for it at all. The point is, this can work with a variety of lifestyles and schedules. Don’t be afraid to do what works best for you!
Have you do the 300 in 30 Declutter Challenge yet or are you now going to?

Thanks for the great idea! I’m going to start this today!
