Maxi skirts are everything to me.   The LuLaRoe maxi skirt is uber comfortable and you can actually wear it so many different ways, which I'll show off over the next few weeks.   I'm just wearing it like a normal person would here, lol.   But I paired it with a LuLaRoe Classic T which I notted at the side.

A grey T goes with so much and the maxi really helped dress this one up.

[Planning Our Wedding] Invitations, Catering, & Registry

I've been making a bit more progress with wedding plans.  I can't believe it's only 4 months away!  I'm  so stress-free though because we are keeping it simple. 

[INVITATIONS]

So the invitations were actually really fun to make.   The total cost was less than $40.  All I had to buy was cardstock, tape/glue, gems, and stamps.  I won the envelopes in a giveaway for a gift card to a party supply site.  And the gems were all on sale at Jo-Ann Fabrics.  

I can't wait for this aprt though - I did the most amazing thing when it came to writing out the addresses on the envelopes.  Normally, my handwriting is horrible and I can't stay on a straight line.  That's where The Lettermate comes in.

The Lettermate is this ingenious tool that helps you write addresses in the right spot, in a straight line, and with neater handwriting.

You just line it up on the envelope and there are spaces for each line.  The bigger lines can be used for the city, state, and zip or you can sue them for the names at the top. 

Honestly, the moment I began to use it, my handwriting was straight and neater than it's ever been!

Look how cute!!  But now for the big reveal...

Here are our invitations. I made them with Canva, like I did the Save the Dates. Then I printed them out, cut them, and glued them onto card stock.  On the back I included parking instructions.  Then I added two little gems (self stick) and VOILA!

[CATERING]

So we decided on the menu for our BBQ food from Dickey's. The two main meats are Pulled Pork and Chopped Brisket.  I figured pork and beef are great options.  Then you get to pick 3 sides so we decided on Barbecue Beans, Potato Salad, and Caesar Salad.  I can't freakin' wait!!!!

[REGISTRY]

Some of my close friends convinced me to still make a registry, just to use for the wedding shower.  So I decided to add some essential items from Target to a registry and I was very reasonable with price. Seriously everything's like $20 or less with the exception of maybe 2 big ticket items?  I see brides add super expensive things to their registry and I just can't do that because I like to keep it practical.

So this has been really fun so far.  I think the most work I had to do was the invitations.   Now to sit back and wait for the RSVPs to come in.  Stay tuned for next month's wedding updates!

Outfit of the Day: Simple Casual

While I like dressing up, some days I just wanna be casual! This was one of the cutest, most comfortable outfits ever.  For starters, my casual shoes from Keds were perfect for it.   The leggings are a simple black and white but the flower prints make them look just fancy enough.   I'm wearing a LuLaRoe Irma up top and its' made of this super soft material.

I feel like I could wear this outfit anywhere and I'd be comfortable and confident.  It's perfect for lounging around but also for running errands or even for having lunch with a friend.

Outfit of the Day: Floral Skirt (Again)

I wore this skirt before with a purple top but I love it because it can go with so many other colors.  This gorgeous minty top isn't even a color that you see in the skirt but it doesn't matter because it still looks amazing!

I took the LuLaRoe Lucy skirt and paired it with a Classic T and knotted the T on the side so it would be more flattering.   I can't tell you how much I love this dang skirt!

How To Make Your Own Popsicles this Summer

I don't know where you live but in Pennsylvania the summer weather is sticky, hot, and humid.   I basically stay confined to my screened in porch because there's shade and I will do whatever I can to stay cool when I'm outdoors.  A great way to cool down is to have a frozen treat, so today I am sharing with you a super easy (I mean SUPER EASY) tutorial for making your own popsicles at home!

Step 1 | Get a Popsicle Mold

This really is necessary otherwise how can you form a popsicle? So this is the Classic Pop Mold from Zoku. Zoku has an awesome selection of pop makers and accessories for slushy and frozen drinks and treats.

These are really cool because the stick and the little holder just snap together! It's super easy! Plus I love the fun green color.

Step 2 | Place Cups in Mold

Place the cups in each slot of the mold. 

Step 3 | Fill with Liquid of Choice

You can use juice, soda, or even make an adult beverage pop.  Get creative!

Fill to the line that says "fill line" and make sure you don't go over it.  

Step 4 | Insert and Snap Sticks

Now you take the sticks you snapped together when you first get your Pop Mold and you press them into the mold cups until you hear a snap and know it's connected.

Step 5 | Freeze for 24 Hours

So simple - just place in the freezer and take out after 24 hours.

See how I filled one up to high and it's oozing out? So that's why you don't do that, lol!

Step 6 | Rinse Under Warm Water

In order to slide the pop out of the cup, you need to hold it under warm water for maybe 10-20 seconds until you can pull the cup off easily.

Step 7 | ENJOY!

See I told you it was super easy!

I love how much of a refreshing snack this is and it's so easy to make.  It's also great when you have friends over.  The Pop Mold was less than $10!  You can't go wrong.

Outfit of the Day: Playing with Prints and Pleats

So normally I am NOT a fan of pleated skirts, but I am in love with the LuLaRoe Amelia dress.  It has pockets in the pleated bottom which is really nice and wearing one with a print on top is actually flattering because it distracts from my midsection.

This dress is super comfortable and fun to wear.
