Firstly, it’s always good to find out what your body does and doesn’t like. There are going to foods that agree with you and foods that won’t. It’s important that you’re minimizing the pain and discomfort that can come from some foods, especially if you’re intolerant or allergic to them. With that being said, it can be helpful to understand what your body agrees with and doesn’t so if you find that you’re having pain or discomfort, it might be worth making a food diary.

A food diary can be helpful in understanding what you’re eating and pinpointing what it might be that’s causing distress to your digestive system. You can then take things out one at a time until you find the culprit. It can sometimes be a time-consuming task but it’s worth doing to make you have more of a comfortable experience when it comes to eating and drinking.

Eating healthily is something that is constantly promoted via the media and in general day to day life. Whilst it’s good to indulge, it’s also important to provide your body with all the relevant nutrients needed to keep it functioning at its best. As you age, that battle to stay healthy can get more difficult, especially as junk food is often easier and quicker to prepare and cook. So with that being said, it might be worth planning out your weekly meals where possible. You could always bulk cook on the Sunday and then have the week’s worth of food in the fridge and ready to go as and when you need it.
