A Comfort Food Clean Plate Party with Cascade // + A Giveaway

For my first party, I had several family members and close friends come over.   I had backed delicious brownies the night before and I left the dish to wash in front of my guests.

To kick off the party I had everyone sit around the kitchen table and watch as I loaded the dishwasher with my dirty, crummy brownie dish.  I explained to everyone that Cascade Platinum is the ultimate way to clean dishes.  It's a premium product that was created to clean so well that it can even leave the dishwasher sparkling white.  And it also works on 24-hour stuck on food, just like the brownie dish. 

 

Someone of course asked why I was skipping the pre-wash with the brownie dish.  I told them that Cascade Platinum works best when the food soil is left on the dishes.  This is because it's special enzymes latch onto the food and break it down so that it can all wash away.  If I were to pre-wash it, there would be nothing for the enzymes to attach to and the detergent wouldn't be working its hardest for me. 

Of course I had to explain that the food left on the dishes won't damage the machine or my pipes because there's a garbage disposal built into the bottom of most all dishwashers.  

I explained why I was putting the big brownie dish on the bottom rack face down.  This is so the water can reach all the nooks and crannies. 

But, before I hit the start button it was time to cook one last dish.  Since August has been a stressful month with everyone's vacations ending and kids going back to school, it was time for some comfort food.  So, we made a starchy protein-filled dish - Mac N' Cheese!

I asked everyone to help with at least one part of the recipe, from beating an egg, pouring flour and milk in, to grating cheese.  Everyone took a few turns stirring.  While we waited for it to cook, I asked everyone to think of the benefit to their personal life if they started using Cascade Platinum.  The answers were very interesting and ranged from more time to play with the kids instead of pre-washing all the way to more sleep since there's less work in the evening after dinner. 

Once the Mac N' Cheese was done, we enjoyed our delicious comfort meal and loaded the dishwasher with the items used to make this recipe and hit START.  

 

 We then chatted about how to get immaculately clean dishes.   I had some pointers for them:

[] Never block your sprayer with bulky items.   It's okay to stack dishes high and low but if you block the sprayer your machine can't work effectively.

[] Place tall dishes and pans in the back of the bottom rack so they don't block the detergent chamber.

[] Glasses or fragile items should be placed in the top rack so they are safe from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.

[] Long utensils should be threaded through coffee-mug handles in order to keep them secure during the wash cycle.

Look at how simple it is to just toss a Cascade Platinum packet in and add some Cascade Rinse Aid.



Everyone got to pick up their goodies and instructions and we waited for the big reveal. 

WOW!!!!!! It's like I never even used the pot and dish to cook in!!!! I am so freakin impressed! My guests couldn't believe it either!   I told everyone to follow Cascade on Twitter and Like them on Facebook so we can rave about them on there!
