4 Summer Outfit Ideas

Monday, July 8, 2019

Summer is a tricky time for fashion because when you're dripping sweat and dealing with humidity, you may not feel like primping and preening and wearing heavy material clothing.  So I put together 4 outfits that are light and airy...and of course stylish!

Striped Summer Dress + Black Flats
You can NEVER go wrong with a striped summer dress, especially with a black and white color scheme.   And black flats simplify the look. Some people want to wear heels or wedges but I feel like it can take away from the flowiness of the dress so I just wear low shoes so that the dress goes the whole way to the ground.  And if you want to cover up a bit just throw a denim jacket over top.

Fun Patterned Dress + Nude Flats
So if you wanna spice things up, you just choose a dress that's a little shorter and a little busier.   You finish it off with nude flats because you don't want to take away from the beauty of the pattern on the dress.  I love this dress because of the neckline.

Solid Summer Dress + Sandals
On the days when you just can't handle your feet being covered and you want to dress a bit more neutral, choose a solid color summer dress and sandals.   I love the lace detail on the top of this dress as it makes it look like there's an extra layer.

Casual Shorts + Graphic Tank+ Wedge Heels
So this is one of my favorites.  I love tank tops that have cute sayings on them and what better way to style it than with a cute pair of shorts (especially with the big pockets) and a super cute pair of wedge heels.  I tend to go for gray tanks because they are neutral.

What are your go to summer outfits?
