Why Women in Business Are So Empowering

Wednesday, July 10, 2019

Of course anyone that runs a business or operates even part of  a business in the world today is impressive, but I just can't seem to get over how amazing it is for women to be so successful, especially since most women balance a lot on their plates every day between work, kids, cleaning and cooking, and self care

Chrissy Weems

Chrissy Weems is a great example of a woman in the business industry that is kicking some serious butt and empowering the rest of us. If you don't know who Chrissy Weems is, let me introduce you.

Chrissy is the CEO of a jewelry company, Origami Owl, as well as a mother of 5 and a passionate interior designer.  She works alongside her daughter Bella and it was the two of them that actually established the jewelry store back in 2010.  The two of them work together to create jewelry like lockets that can be customized to tell a story.

Chrissy and her daughter have used networking and social media to their advantage, building a following of over 500,000 on Facebook.  Because of her positivity and motivational messages, she has inspired many others to achieve their own goals and make a difference in our society.

But what makes her so empowering to other women? Well, there are a few things.

Chrissy understands the value of money in business and aside from making a profit on the sales of their jewelry, the company is actually investing in advanced business programs that will assist the independent designers work more efficiently.  The whole point of the jewelry line is that each piece is able to be customized so it really connects the customer with what's special to them.

Not only that but Origami Owl as a company really believes in the capabilities of young people.  They even have a program that supports youth empowerment which encourages people under the age of 17 from the US and Canada to start a business and make money.  Plus they've partnered with an organization to help children in need.

And to top it all off, there's even a Chrissy Weems Scholarship to help offset education expenses from college tuition to living costs.  It's offered as a way to support the education of up and coming entrepreneurs and business owners.  Chrissy understands that if a talent is not nurtured it can become a waste, so she likes to focus on encouraging students to continue working towards their dreams.

Do you know someone that could benefit from this $1,000 scholarship?  All they need to do is submit a 500 word essay on the selected topic and fill out the online form.  This scholarship is offered on an annual basis so there's plenty of time to prepare for the 2020 opportunity.

So yes, that's why women like Chrissy are so empowering for other women and even young girls.  Chrissy manages to radiate good energy, spend time with her family,  enjoys vacationing, and still keeps a successful business every day.

See, I bet you even feel empowered after reading all this!
