How To Upgrade Your Food Game for Spring

Spring is finally here and what better way to celebrate it than with food!!!  With nicer weather it's much easier to combine your love of food with the nice weather because it's easier to grill food, eat outdoors, and gather safely outside.  If you're eating healthier for your summer body, it's even more of a reason to eat good and enjoy the outdoors.  Here are some ways to upgrade your food game this spring.

Cook Outside
Fire up the grill and get ready to cook your favorite meats and veggies.  There are plenty of ways to enjoy the Spring weather but cooking outdoors is my favorite since you can stay outside and not have to  be stuck in the kitchen while your family waits around in the yard.  And break out the fire pit because you can make delicious foods over the fire as well!

Get Delivery
If you simply want to enjoy the weather without having to cook, it's always a fun idea to order food to be delivered , especially if you choose warm weather meals.  Maybe search around for the best stone crab delivery and enjoy! You can even host a small gathering and order food for everyone.

Eat Outside
I enjoy eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside on the porch in the Spring because it makes the whole eating experience that much better.  Of course something even better is to pack some food and have a picnic outdoors at a nearby park or even in your own backyard.

Forage for Food
If you have your own garden, why not make a salad from the lettuce and add some berries from your own bushes.  Forage your own yard (safely) and make sure you do research on what's safe to eat and what's not.  I actually take my edible flowers and decorate the tops of chocolate chip cookies as a dessert.

Visit a Farmer's Market
To support local business in your area, consider shopping for fresh produce and meats at your local farmer's market.  Don't be afraid to stop at roadside stands either.  There is nothing better than homegrown food!

Start a Garden

If you’ve never had your own garden, do your research and consider making one.  You can even have a container garden if you don’t have space for actual garden beds.  Just research what zone you live in and what types of vegetables and fruits do best in your climate.  It’s very rewarding to get outdoors to tend to your garden and you will be so excited to pick your own food when it’s time!

Try New Recipes

What better way to celebrate Spring than to try new foods?  Seek out things you've always wanted to try or recipes you've found and saved but never taken the time to actually make.  I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Remember, you can combine your love of food and your love of nice weather very easily.  You can be as creative as you want with cooking or you can simply order delivery and just eat outside.
