2013 Kia Rio SX - A Basic Rundown

Tuesday, September 3, 2013

Last week I came home to find the 2013 Kia Rio SX in my driveway.  I'll be driving it around for the next couple of weeks so before I write about how my experience goes, I wanted to do a basic rundown of the Kia Rio and it's features.

Exterior
The 2013 Kia Rio I am driving is Electronic Blue which is a very sharp color and gives it a nice sleek look!

The grill looks pretty awesome and I love the fog lights.

I absolutely love the compact look and feel of this car.  It's easy to park and get around in and it's very easy to keep control of.
 Sick wheels!
The back end is pretty sweet and I am really into the rear windshield wiper! It really made a difference in the rain!

This car comes with Smart Key technology and a Push  Button Start!   SO AWESOME!

Interior
The sunroof is a big deal for me because I love open space and it really helps brighten up the inside of the car.

While it looks small on the outside, the 2013 Kia Rio is very spacious on the inside and the leather interior looks very slick!

 There's the push button start!

The mirror has a homelink button and a compass which I never had before so that's a great selling feature for me!
I love how smoothly this car transitions from Park, to reverse, to drive.   It's very easy to shift and I didn't have any issues accidentally knocking it into the wrong gear setting.
The Sirius radio feature is fantastic and the display is so easy to read and I love that it tells me what song is on. The A/c Heat features are fantastic. The knobs are easy to adjust and use and this car cools down quickly!

The steering wheel is uber comfortable and the radio controls are just what I needed so I don't get distracted trying to switch the station! Great safety feature!
The display is easy to read and I love that it tells me the current gas mileage!
The navigation was great. Easy to use, easy to understand, and thoroughly accurate!

Safety
When it comes to safety, there are dual front airbags and front seat mounted side airbags.  There's an Anti-Lock Brake System and Traction Control System which served me well in the rain!  There's also Electronic Stability Control!

Storage

The 2013 Kia Rio comes with an easy to open "5th door" which stores plenty of goodies and  is very easy to get your cargo in and out of.

Check back later this week and I'll talk about what's under the hood and how this little blue gem rides around town!
