If you know me well, you know that I love large handbags so
I can carry all my stuff around…. And I don’t just mean all of it, I mean like,
if I was stranded on an island… I could use everything in my purse to
survive!
I used to just throw everything in my bag, but then I got frustrated with that method for a few reasons:
I would get pen marks and key scratches on everything.
I would rummage around inside and end up bending, folding,
and scuffing most of my items.
I had things leak and spill.
I couldn’t find ANYTHING!!!
So here’s a look at my organized purse now. I even threw in some labels so you see
exactly what I do!
Inside my bag I have a purse organizer called a Purseket
which has a compartment for almost everything and anything. I hold it together with a binder clip
(Yep, that’s right) because I want it to securely hold some of my other items
in the middle of my bag.
Starting in the upper left hand corner you’ll see there’s a
pocket for my makeup compact and in the one to the right of it, I keep another
makeup compact.
Next, I keep a thin business card holder and a small red
coin purse that I got from subscribing to a magazine. This is a must have since I don’t have an actual wallet.
Next, is a concealed compartment that has a Velcro flap over
it. I keep a pocket knife in
there. You never know when
you will need it!
Next is a slot for feminine products and a slot for
pens.
Beside that is a pocket where I keep my gum and then next to
that is where I keep my checkbook.
In the center of my handbag I keep my sunglasses case as
well as my cash
envelope system and my Filofax!
There’s also a beauty bag which came free from Target and I
keep a mini pair of sewing scissors in there as well as some ointments and
creams!
And finally, I keep my keys on a purse hanger so that I
never have to root around in my bag for them, and I also keep my USB drive and
anything else that needs to be kept separate in the inside zipper pocket.
