From time to time I recommend books to people but I wanted to make a special post to highlight my all time favorites.

I am big into minimalism so when I own a hardcopy of a book, it means it's an amazing must-have for the rest of my life.   That's why on my shelf I only keep 6 books.

So here are my 6 favorite books of all time.

1. The 5 Languages of Love by Gary Chapman
Category: Relationship
Why I Love it: Honestly this book should be a required read in highschool.  Not only does this help with your relationship communications but also your interactions with family, friends, and coworkers.
What's it about: Everyone feels loved a different way. For some it's getting gifts or spending time together and for others it's being affectionate.    Everyone also gives love a different way and if you aren't giving your partner love in a way that they receive it, it creates issues.   It's not hard at all to learn the 5 languages.
Purchase: Amazon

2. The Art of Happiness by Dalai Lama

Category: Life
Why I Love it: It's like a handbook to life.  After you read it you'll say DUH!    It changes the way you let things affect you and you realize exactly HOW happiness is an inside job.
What's it about: You know everyone says "Make yourself happy first." Well, this book tells you how.
Purchase: Amazon

3. The Secret
Category: EVERYTHING
Why I Love it: You have to read it to understand.  And once you finish reading it, you'll want to tell everyone else to read it because it's literally the secret to life and success.  The Amazon reviews don't even explain it because you just have to read it for yourself.   I consider this my bible.
What's it about: Did you ever hear the quote "Think it into existence?"  Yea, I'll just leave it at that.   THIS BOOK HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!
Purchase: Amazon

4. The Remembering Process by Daniel Barrett
Category: Life
Why I Love it: It gives me the instruction and understanding of how to get what I want.  It's kind of hard to explain so just trust me and read it for yourself!
What's it about: It's like a follow up to The Secret.  You can remember your future and think it into existence.
Purchase: Amazon

5. Life's Greatest Lessons by Hal Urban
Category: Life
Why I Love it: If you want a shortened summary of everything you need to know to survive life at any age... here it is!
What's it about: The advice in this book can be used by anyone in any situation.  I wish a book like this was mandatory in school!
Purchase: Amazon

6. Buddhism Plain and Simple by Steve Hagan
Category: Mindfulness
Why I Love it:  It literally taught me about living in the moment and how to handle the way I let external things affect my mood.
What's it about: This book comes with a disclaimer that it's not about Buddhism in a religious aspect but more so the idea behind Buddhism which includes mindfulness, loving yourself, and how you internally deal with EVERYTHING.
Purchase: Amazon

Are there any other books you suggest?   I'd love to hear them!
