Signs That It Might Be Time To Propose To Your Partner

Proposing to someone is a big move. You want to be sure that no matter who you are or who you’re proposing too, that you feel sure that you are both ready for such a big commitment. Getting engaged is agreeing to marry someone, and when you get to that wedding day, you want to be sure that you’re ready to say yes. Here are some signs that it might be time to propose to your partner.

You Can’t See Your Life Without Them

We all go through life with different people coming and going. Some stay there by your side for years, and others come in and out. Some might only be there for a brief time or period within your life, but a life partner is someone you can’t see your life without. Of course, it’s important to maintain your independence, but when you want to spend forever with someone in the way of marriage, a proposal is the best way of having that person in your life in the long run. If you’re waking up and going to bed with them on your mind and can’t ever see anyone else being in their place, then it’s definitely time to get serious about the proposal and how you’re going to do it. Again, make sure you’re confident that they feel the same way.

You’ve Had The Talk

Talking of your partner, have you had the talk yet? You know the one. It’s usually about babies and marriage, getting a property together, and what you’d do when you’re both old and grey. Having these conversations for some can be terrifying, whereas when you’ve found that person that you want to live the rest of your life with, it’s one that’s fairly easy to have. It’s also one that will be frequent. And it’s even more of a sure thing if you’ve discussed the engagement rings your partner will adore and has perhaps been swooning over online and when you’ve wandered past a jewelry shop.

You’ve Done Everything But Propose

There’s no real timeline of what you should be doing anymore, and that’s refreshing for everyone. You could do the whole engagement and marriage thing first, or you could start a family first. It’s all about what you and your partner want and value as being important. One of the things that could spark a proposal could be that you’ve done most things or everything but marriage. It’s not for everyone to get married, but it’s a way of physically saying that you are committed to spending the rest of your life with someone.

Their Family Has Become Yours

When you meet their parents for the first time and any of their family members, it can certainly be nerve-racking. There’s a lot riding on it, and you want to be able to get on with everyone who is part of your partner’s family. So when they feel like a family to you, you know it’s time.

Use these tips to help figure out if you’re ready!
